Wednesday star Emma Myers confirmed for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder

Wednesday star Emma Myers has been cast in the lead role of new BBC drama A Good Girl's Guide to Murder.
Myers, best known for playing Wednesday's best friend (and werewolf) Enid Sinclair in the hit Netflix series, will play lead character Pip Fitz-Amobi. She'll star alongside newcomer Zain Iqbal as Ravi in the six-part series.
A Good Girl's Guide to Murder follows the story of schoolgirl Andie Bell, who five years ago was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh. Or indeed, that's what the police and town folk believe.
"But smart and single-minded Pip Fitz-Amobi isn't so sure and she’s determined to prove it," reads the synopsis. "And if Sal Singh isn’t a murderer and the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?"

The show is adapted from the popular mystery thriller book series of the same name by Holly Jackson. Screenwriter Poppy Cogan has adapted the franchise for TV, with Inside Man actress Dolly Wells signed on as director.
Author Holly Jackson was "unbelievably excited" to have Myers on board as Pip, saying: "She is phenomenal and this role was truly always meant to be hers."
Jackson also believes actor Zain Iqbal makes the "perfect" Ravi. Iqbal's credits to date include short films Pink Elephant and Why Me.

"I can’t wait for us all to be able to watch their scenes," continued Jackson. "I smile every time I see them together, because I know that we’ve pulled off the impossible, and Emma and Zain are the only two people I would trust to bring these characters to life.
"Everyone’s going to be just as thrilled as I am."
Filming for A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder will take place in the South West of England. There's no release date or window shared as yet, but episodes are confirmed to air on BBC Three and iPlayer.
Wednesday streams on Netflix – season 2 has been confirmed.
