Wednesday's Seacoast roundup: Wilber, Adams lead Winnacunnet to fourth shutout

HAMPTON – Abby Wilber and Hayden Adams both scored two goals and the Winnacunnet High School field hockey team earned its fourth shutout in six games on Wednesday with a 5-0 Division I win over Nashua South.

Grace Vander Els also scored for the Warriors, who improved to 5-1 on the season. Lyla Pearlo, Emerson Parish and Vander Els all had an assist.

Winnacunnet goalie Amber Morgado had one save.

DURHAM – Olivia Anderson scored both goals for the Bobcats in this Division II win.

Defensively, Nora Rogers and Clio Grondahl shined in the win,.

Exeter sweeps four-team match

KEENE – The Blue Hawks had five players shoot in the 30s en route to a win at Bretwood Golf Course.

Exeter finished with a team score of 185, while Keene (200), Pinkerton (201) and Bishop Guertin (211) placed second through fourth, respectively.

Brady Smith and Jascha Johnston both carded a round of 36 for Exeter, while Connor Allard had a 37 and Andrew Degan and Christian Barone both shot a 38.

Oyster River goalies Kyle Butts (five) and Evan Whalen (four) combined for nine saves.

GOFFSTOWN - Ninya Beckwith had six kills, and 15 service points, including four aces for Winnacunnet in this Division I match.

Lexi Ciardelli (27 digs, 10 service points, three kills), Chloe Cunningham (14 service points), Shea Graham (four kills), Makenzie Poplawski (16 assists, 15 service points) and Jessica Gelbstein (20 digs) all shined for the Warriors.

EPPING - Liahna Messier (eight kills, four aces, seven digs), Madelyn Hardy (six aces), Heidi Geyer (four kills), Kailey Holt (six kills, 16 assists, six aces, six digs) and Kate Wesley (two blocks) all led Portsmouth Christian Academy (3-1) to this Division III win.

PORTSMOUTH – Claudia Spaulding and Cami Marrow both had two goals for the Warriors.

Alex Holmes, Michael Murphy and Tyler Cote all scored a goal for the Warriors.

Alec Cirulli had six saves in the WHS goal, while Marrow and Spaulding had four and three, respectively.

Defensively, Mason Anzalone, Ryder Lee, Tyler Marino, Lilli Marchi and Shane Trombley all played well for the Warriors.
