Wednesday's Top Prep Performers from basketball, soccer and water polo

Highlights from Wednesday in high school sports:

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Stevie Prudholme scored 22 points, Axel Eason had eight points, Nick Giarrusso contributed seven points, and Stevie Amar finished with five points and seven rebounds to lead Oaks Christian (7-0) to a 54-37 win over Camarillo in the Clash on the Coast Tournament at Pacifica High. Tyler Hook scored 13 points, Chase Aronowitz and Josh Castaniero each had seven points, and Marcos Jaquez added six points for the Scorpions (5-4).

  • Austin Maziasz finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, Danny Bao had 11 points and 13 rebounds, Aidan Delavari had nine points, 11 rebounds and six assists, and Cyrus Torabian scored 10 points to lead Westlake (4-2) to a 65-35 win over Santa Barbara in the Clash on the Coast Tournament at Pacifica High.

  • Richard Miranda hit three 3-pointers and finished with 14 points, Theo Briscoe had seven points and two steals, and Sergio Ornelas added five points and seven rebounds for Pacifica (3-3) in its 63-22 loss to Spring Valley (Nevada) in the Clash on the Coast Tournament at Pacifica High.

  • Zane Carter scored 16 points, Daniel Ortiz finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists, Luke Ortiz had 12 points and four blocks, Josh Ullegue had 12 points, Joel Ipatzi contributed 10 points, and Stevie Plahn added seven points to lead Buena (5-2) to an 84-31 victory over Cate in a nonleague game.

  • Da'shaye Williams drained four 3-pointers and finished with 26 points, Nazir Ivey scored 12 points, Joseff Francisco hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points, Shaun Holmes hit three 3-pointers for nine points, and Marc Ortiz had eight points to lead Channel Islands (4-4, 1-0) to a 71-58 win over Fillmore in a Citrus Coast League opener. Jack Morris finished with 21 points, seven assists and seven steals, Nate Delgadillo had 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Jacob Munoz added eight points for the Flashes (3-5, 0-1).

  • Drew Romano scored 29 points, Preston Lowry had 17 points and Ace Arnold added 10 points for Royal (3-5) in its 90-75 loss to Heritage Christian in a nonleague game.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Lola Donez scored 17 points, Faith O’Daniel had 11 points, Makena Melito finished with nine points, and Jordan Schwesinger contributed eight points to lead Oaks Christian (4-3) to a 52-39 win over St. Mary at the Mira Costa Tournament.

  • Faith Madsen had 15 points and eight rebounds and Kaitlyn Padilla finished with nine points, three assists and three steals for Simi Valley (7-4) in its 61-46 loss to Verdugo Hills in a nonleague game.

BOYS SOCCER

  • Christopher Martinez scored a goal and Benjamin Aguilar netted the game-tying goal with four minutes left as Channel Islands earned a 2-2 draw with Fillmore in a Citrus Coast League opener. Jesus Angel Avila scored two goals off two assists from Arnulfo Zepeda for the Flashes (2-3-1, 0-1-1).

  • Zack Harris netted four goals, Ryan O'Leary and Miles Johnson had goals, and Nate Kapitz had two assists to lead Oak Park to a 6-1 win over Grace Brethren in a nonleague match. Jeremy Larson scored the goal for the Lancers.

  • Tyler Nagel and Max Fernandez scored goals and Taylor Brenning and Vaughn Gomez-Smith had assists for Camarillo and Matthew Kim and Kayden Alves scored goals for Oaks Christian in the teams' 2-2 draw in a nonleague match.

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Sanaye Soto and Jackie Corral scored goals in the second half to lead Hueneme to a 2-0 win over Malibu. Kaylyn Lopez, Natalie Ruiz and Mia Ruiz played well for the Vikings (3-0-0) in a nonleague match.

  • KK Chowana scored two goals, Finley Aghassi had a goal and two assists, Layla Simon and Emma Naftzger each had a goal and an assist, and Lex Sahagian scored a goal to lead Westlake (3-0-1) to a 6-0 victory over San Luis Obispo in a nonleague match.

  • Berkley Mape scored a goal to lead Oaks Christian (5-0-0) to a 2-0 victory over Camarillo in a nonleague match.

  • Athena Sanchez and Monica Botello scored goals, Lizbeth Mendez had an assist, and Gabriela Martinez had a strong game in net to lead Fillmore (1-2-0, 1-0-0) to a 2-1 win over Channel Islands in a Citrus Coast League opener.

GIRLS WATER POLO

  • Addison Bruno had two goals and seven steals, Kendall Nagaoka scored two goals, and Amy Garcia, Adelyn Hardy and Gabrielle Swaim had goals for Buena (7-3, 1-1) in its 20-7 loss to Santa Barbara in a Channel League game.
