Wednesday's Top Prep Performers: Santa Paula's Stockton reaches 1,000 points

Highlights from Wednesday in high school sports:

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Faith Stockton scored 27 points to surpass 1,000 for her career and added six rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead Santa Paula to a 65-27 victory over Hueneme in a Citrus Coast League game. Arianna Duarte finished with 15 points, 11 steals, eight rebounds and six assists, Danielle Salazar had eight points, eight rebounds and two blocks, Alexis Carillo had five points and five rebounds, Miahnna Galvan had four points, three steals, two assists and two rebounds, and Aneesa Reyes had four points, four rebounds and three assists for the first-place Cardinals (12-10, 6-0).

  • Sofia Aviles hit six 3-pointers and finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, five steals and two assists, Erika Sanchez had nine points, nine rebounds, two steals and two assists, Nataly Vigil had five points, nine rebounds and four steals, and Aryanne Munoz added five points, six steals, three blocks and two rebounds to lead Fillmore (3-6, 3-1) to a 44-23 win over Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Gabriela Jaquez finished with 25 points, Emily Lim hit two 3-pointers and had 12 points, and Makenna Phalen hit two 3-pointers and had 10 points as unbeaten Camarillo defeated Moorpark 69-23 in a Coastal Canyon League game for its second win in as many nights over the Musketeers. Anika Carey had nine points and Christa Contreras and MacKenzie Anderson each added six points for the Scorpions (23-0, 6-0). Avanthika Ramasamy had 10 points, two steals and two assists and Jasmine Berry had 12 rebounds and three steals for second-place Moorpark (15-4, 3-3).

  • Abigail Degnan scored 10 points and Sahasra Anne had nine points to lead Simi Valley (9-12, 2-3) to a 45-35 win over Oak Park (1-15, 0-4) in a Coastal Canyon League game.

  • Freshman Brooklyn Shamblin finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds, Madison Brothers had seven points and five steals, and Omamoke Okah scored seven points to lead first-place Oaks Christian (16-2, 5-0) to a 58-20 win over Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League game.

  • Kelly Barber scored 12 points, Faith Krank had 11 points, Riley Hearon hit three 3-pointers for nine points and added three assists, and Julia Finch had six points and three assists to lead La Reina to a 44-24 win over St. Bonaventure in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • Grace Brethren defeated Cate 37-33 in a Tri-Valley League game.

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Reese Widerburg had 17 points and four rebounds, Dylan O'Neill finished with 11 points and eight rebounds, and Bobby Barajas had six assists, six rebounds and three steals to lead first-place Oxnard (17-4, 7-0) to a 58-29 win over Ventura (6-18, 3-5) in a Pacific View League game.

  • Zane Carter finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds, Darin Cole had 15 points and seven assists, Blue Sierra scored 14 points, Moses Garman had nine points, and Daniel Ortiz added seven points to lead Buena (11-13, 4-3) to an 85-49 victory over Channel Islands in a Pacific View League game. Nazir Ivey scored 12 points, Dashaye Williams had 10 points and Matthew Gonzalez had eight points for the Raiders (4-16, 0-7).

  • O’Neil Drury had 17 points and two steals, Chris Alfaro had 10 points, two steals and two assists, and Kamden Kiech added eight points and four steals to lead Rio Mesa (14-7, 5-1) to a 71-36 win over Pacifica in a Pacific View League game.

  • Milo Hudak had 14 points and 10 rebounds, Dante Miller scored 11 points, Aidan Bell had nine points, and Gavin Guenther added eight points as Agoura (9-10, 1-2) — playing its third game in as many nights — handed Thousand Oaks its first Marmonte League loss of the season with a 49-46 victory, after losing to the Lancers by 17 points on Tuesday night. Patrick Saari had 15 points, four assists and two steals, Jack Munro had 14 points, six rebounds and two assists, and Caleb Chin finished with seven points and nine rebounds for the Lancers (15-4, 5-1).

  • Seshsha Henderson had 15 points and five assists, Niko Limberopoulos finished with nine points, four rebounds and three assists, Dante Calhoun scored nine points, Jacob Jordan had five points and six rebounds, and Isaiah Kelley had four points and six rebounds as Oak Park (18-4, 5-0) remained unbeaten in the Coastal Canyon League with a 47-41 victory over Simi Valley. Mikey Ishoo scored 14 points, Billy Evans had 13 points and Jack Benyshek added nine points for the second-place Pioneers (19-3, 4-2).

  • Shawn Castillo scored 15 points, Marcos Jaquez had 14 points, Jamar Montesinos-Gonzalez had 13 points, Jordan Torres and Bryant Marchese each had 12 points, and Isaac Means added nine points to lead Camarillo (14-11, 2-3) to an 86-62 victory over Moorpark (13-10, 1-4) in a Coastal Canyon League game.

  • Dylan Benner finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds and Sam Seiden scored 11 points to lead St. Bonaventure to a 48-45 win over Dunn in a Tri-Valley League game.

BOYS SOCCER

  • Justin Sosa had a goal and an assist and Jessie Davis scored a goal to lead unbeaten Agoura (9-0-5, 5-0-2) to a 2-1 victory over Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League match.

  • Jerry Ramos netted a hat trick and Matt Cetulio and Oscar Vargas scored goals to lead Moorpark (14-1, 5-1) to a 5-0 victory over Camarillo in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Zack Harris and Evan Ziglari scored goals and Evan Gerty had an assist to lead first-place Oak Park (9-1-2, 5-0) to a 2-1 victory over Simi Valley in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Jesus Avila and Alexander Roque scored goals and Mariano Gonzalez and Arnulfo Zepeda had assists to lead Fillmore (6-6-2, 4-1-1) to a 2-0 win over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League match.

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Gianna Foss scored the winning goal off an assist from Jennifer Bill to lift first-place Moorpark (10-3-2, 6-0) to a 1-0 overtime win over Camarillo in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Malea Johnson recorded a hat trick, Brooke Ly scored a goal, Grace Zeolla, Emma Rale and Ava Dermott had assists, and Ainsley Gove earned the shutout in net to lead Oak Park (6-3-3, 3-1-1) to a 4-0 win over Simi Valley in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Marlene Gonzalez, Aliya Baez and Emely Garcia scored goals and Nubia Estrada earned the shutout in net to lead Fillmore (5-3-4, 5-0-1) to a 3-0 win over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League match.

GIRLS WATER POLO

  • Roni Perlman finished with four goals and two assists, Cate Daland and Kai Blankenship each had two goals and two steals, Maddie DeMattia had a goal and four assists, Chloe Gardhouse had a goal and an assist, and Molly Blosser made nine saves as Agoura defeated Oaks Christian 10-3 to clinch the Marmonte League title.
