Highlights from Wednesday in high school spring sports:

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

  • Oxnard defeated Rio Mesa 79-46 and Pacifica 82-40 and Rio Mesa defeated Pacifica 76-43 in a tri-Channel League meet at Oxnard High. For Oxnard, Shaun Tolson won the 400 (54.27). Samuel Adams won the 800 (2:01.83). Alain Chavez won the long jump (21-07) and triple jump (43-01). Luis Aguilera won the shot put (47-08.50). For Rio Mesa, Nicholas Weinerth won the 1,600 (4:37.57)and 3,200 (10:13.19). JJ Bittner won the 110 hurdles (15.81) and 300 hurdles (43.76). Jackson Knowles won the high jump (6-0). Jaden Washington won the discus (139-03). For Pacifica, Jeremiah Penny won the 100 (10.86) and 200 (22.37).

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

  • Oxnard defeated Rio Mesa 90-29 and Pacifica 108-11 and Rio Mesa defeated Pacifica 89-19 in a tri-Channel League meet at Oxnard High. For Oxnard, Brianna Torres won the 1,600 (5:37.84) and 3,200 (12:01.11). Amia Cason won the 100 hurdles (16.88). Ali Medina won the 200 (26.67) and 400 (60.72). Yesenia Molina won the 800 (2:32.37). Akira Jones won the 300 hurdles (50.48) and long jump (15-11). For Pacifica, Mikayla Oliver won the 100 (13.37) and triple jump (32-05.50). Finagalo Nelson won the shot put (35-07) and discus (100-01.50). For Rio Mesa, Helvi Apel won the high jump (4-05).

BOYS SWIMMING

  • Foothill Tech, Villanova Prep and St. Bonaventure competed in a tri-Tri-Valley League meet. For Villanova Prep, James Keyser won the 100 freestyle (53.13) and 200 freestyle (1:58.70). Luigi Travi won the 200 IM (2:20.14) and 100 butterfly (1:03.28). For Foothill Tech, Lucca Postma won the 50 freestyle (25.35) and Kylan Jaeger won the 500 freestyle (5:56.12). Aiden Cumming won the 100 breaststroke (1:19.43). For St. Bonaventure, Nico Macias won the 100 backstroke (1:04.72).

GIRLS SWIMMING

  • Foothill Tech, Villanova Prep and St. Bonaventure competed in a tri-Tri-Valley League meet. For Foothill Tech, Charlie Woo-Bloxberg won the 200 freestyle (1:59.73) and 500 freestyle (5:24.53). Mikaela Clabaugh won the 200 IM (2:32.71). Cynthia Hu won the 100 butterfly (1:04.69). Avery Buehner won the 100 freestyle (1:07.06). Cynthia Hu won the 100 backstroke (1:03.70). For Villanova Prep, Candela Basoco won the 50 freestyle (30.22) and Ida Tully-Giles won the 100 breaststroke (1:23.35).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • Patrick Allen finished with 15 kills and 10 digs, Josiah Wong amassed 37 assists, Bennett Lueg had 14 kills, nine digs and two aces, and Elijah Green added four aces as Oaks Christian (12-12, 4-3) defeated Newbury Park (14-8, 6-1) 21-25, 25-17, 28-26, 25-21 to hand the Panthers their first loss in Marmonte League play.

BOYS TENNIS

  • Ronak Santhosh and Kei Ohya each swept their singles sets to lead Newbury Park to a 13-5 win over Agoura in a Marmonte League match.
