Week 11 Fantasy Blog

Ryan McDowell

Welcome to Week 11, where we will see QBs Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson face off as the Ravens host the Texans. As the fantasy playoffs get closer, let's go get those wins in crucial matchups!

(7:35PM) BIG PLAY The Eagles had a chance to tie the game with under a minute but WR Nelson Agholor couldn't quite hang onto the end zone target on fourth down. The Patriots have the ball back along with a seven-point lead, though the Eagles may have one more shot if their defense can hold.

(7:28PM) BIG PLAY Hoping to engineer a game-tying drive in the final two minutes, Bengals QB Ryan Finley's pass was intercepted by Oakland, all but sealing the win for the Raiders and an 0-10 start for the Bengals.

(7:21PM) While the Niners will hang on for the comeback win, the other two games are coming down to the end. Both are one-score games with under six minutes remaining.

(7:14PM) TD With only 31 seconds remaining, 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo hit RB Jeff Wilson, who sprinted to the end zone for a go-ahead touchdown from 25 yards out. The Cardinals now will try to answer as they've already done several times this game.

(7:11PM) INJURY Bengals WR Auden Tate made a clutch catch for a first-down but took a huge hit to the head and stayed down on the field for several minutes. Tate eventually had to be taken off the field on a stretcher as his teammates surrounded him.

(6:51PM) TD The Cardinals wasted no time in taking the lead right back. QB Kyler Murray rushed for a 22-yard touchdown to end the latest scoring drive, putting the Cardinals back in front by three points. Murray leads Arizona in rushing today with 45 yards. RB David Johnson still hasn't touched the ball.

(6:39PM) TD Trailing for much of the game, the 49ers have regained the lead on a two-yard touchdown pass from QB Jimmy Garoppolo to WR Kendrick Bourne. The Niners then went for a two-pointer, but failed, so they lead 23-19 early in the fourth quarter.

(6:36PM) INJURY Patriots WR Phillip Dorsett is in the locker room dealing with an injury. We could see an extended look at rookie WR N'Keal Harry for the remainder of the game.

(6:35PM) INJURY 49ers rookie WR Deebo Samuel, who leads the team with 82 yards on four catches, has a shoulder injury and is questionable to return.

(6:22PM) TD Trailing for the entire game, the Patriots are willing to try anything. WR Julian Edelman just tossed a 15-yard touchdown pass to WR Phillip Dorsett. The Pats then went for two and RB James White ran it in for a successful attempt. New England now leads 17-10.

(5:57PM) TD The Cardinals really just can't stop the tight ends. After a first-half touchdown (and another score called back on penalty) TE Ross Dwelley just caught a wide-open pass for a five-yard touchdown. Playing in place of TE George Kittle, Dwelley has three catches for 11 yards and the two scores.

(5:39PM) TD Just before halftime, the Raiders have taken their first lead of the game on an impressive rushing score from QB Derek Carr. Unable to find an open receiver, Carr improvised and avoided defenders before leaping into the end zone.

(5:18PM) Finally, the top-scoring tight ends for the week, so far...

TE1- Ryan Griffin, NYJ

TE2- Kyle Rudolph, MIN

TE3- Mark Andrews, BAL

TE4- Cameron Brate, TB

TE5- Jared Cook, NO

(5:17PM) TD The Raiders have tied the game against the Bengals as QB Derek Carr hit rookie TE Foster Moreau for a two-yard score.

(5:12PM) TD It has been a defensive battle in Philly between the Eagles and Patriots but TE Dallas Goedert finally broke through for a touchdown. The play was initially ruled an interception but reversed after a replay. Goedert leads the team with 26 yards on two catches.

(5:11PM) TD If you took a chance on TE Ross Dwelley with no George Kittle this week, you will be happy to learn that Dwelley just scored the first touchdown of the game for the 49ers on a four-yard pass from QB Jimmy Garoppolo. The Niners trail 16-7 midway through the second quarter.

(5:09PM) The top-scoring wide receivers in Week 11, so far...

WR1- John Brown, BUF

WR2- D.J. Chark, JAX

WR3- Calvin Ridley, ATL

WR4- Michael Thomas, NO

WR5- Michael Gallup, DAL

(5:03PM) TD The Cardinals don't even need RB David Johnson to upset the 49ers, at least in the early going. QB Kyler Murray hit WR Pharoh Cooper for a five-yard touchdown, making it a 16-0 lead.

(4:57PM) INJURY ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported that Colts RB Marlon Mack fractured his hand. He'll need more testing to determine that severity and next course of action but at the very least, he will miss Week Twelve's game. RB Jonathan Williams totaled 147 yards in the game and should be the top waiver wire target of the week.

(4:49PM) TD It took Bengals running backs 11 weeks to reach the end zone, but RB Joe Mixon finally broke the streak. Mixon reversed course, finding his way into the end zone for an impressive three-yard touchdown run. The Bengals take the early lead against the Raiders. Mixon already has 60 total yards.

(4:42PM) The top-scoring fantasy running backs for the week, so far...

RB1- Christian McCaffrey, CAR

RB2- Mark Ingram, BAL

RB3- Alvin Kamara, NO

RB4- Ezekiel Elliott, DAL

RB5- Tony Pollard, DAL

(4:36PM) TD The Cardinals have an early lead over San Francisco after QB Kyler Murray hit WR Larry Fitzgerald for a five-yard score. Arizona leads 9-0 in the first quarter.

(4:29PM) With the early games over, it's time to slow down the pace and take a look at the top fantasy producers for the week so far. Let's start with the quarterback position...

QB1- Josh Allen, BUF

QB2- Lamar Jackson, BAL

QB3- Dak Prescott, DAL

QB4- Jeff Driskel, DET

QB5- Sam Darnold, NYJ

(4:26PM) The late-afternoon slate includes three games and all are underway. The Cardinals and 49ers face off, while the Eagles host the Patriots and Bengals travel west to Oakland.

(4:22PM) The eight early games are now complete. Here are the final scores...

Bills 37, Dolphins 20

Ravens 41, Texans 7

Falcons 29, Panthers 3

Cowboys 35, Lions 27

Colts 33, Jaguars 13

Vikings 27, Broncos 23

Saints 34, Buccaneers 17

Jets 34, Redskins 17

(4:15PM) TD It is far too little and too late, but the Redskins have another touchdown. QB Dwayne Haskins tossed his second score of the day, this one a one-yarder to TE Jeremy Sprinkle. That makes it 34-17 in favor of the Jets.

(3:59PM) TD It has been a rough day for the Jaguars but QB Nick Foles just hit WR D.J. Chark, who hauled in his second touchdown of the game.

(3:53PM) TD WR Marvin Jones loves his multi-TD games. He just caught his second score of the day, this one coming from 25 yards out. Jones is up to 43 yards on four receptions in the game.

(3:50PM) TD The Vikings have come all the way back to take the lead as QB Kirk Cousins hit TE Kyle Rudolph for a 35-yard score. Rudolph was wide open and behind the defense, walking in for the go-ahead score.

(3:48PM) TD The Ravens are trying to call off the dogs with QB Lamar Jackson sitting out the remainder of the game. The Texans still aren't doing their part though as backup RB Gus Edwards rushed for a 63-yard touchdown, adding to the blowout.

(3:47PM) TD The Dolphins were threatening to get back into the game but QB Josh Allen ended that, throwing a touchdown pass to WR John Brown. The pass was actually deflected but hauled down by Brown for a nine-yard score.

(3:45PM) TD The Redskins hadn't scored a touchdown in over a month, but RB Derrius Guice, making his return to the field today, just broke the streak. Guice caught a short pass and did the rest of the work for a 45-yard score. Washington still trails 34-11 early in the final quarter.

(3:40PM) TD Dallas has opened a double-digit lead after QB Dak Prescott hit RB Ezekiel Elliott, who weaved through defenders for a 17-yard score. Zeke then celebrated by lockingly mocking his quarterback's pre-game warmup routine, much to the delight of Prescott. A successful two-point conversion by RB Tony Pollard made it 25-21 in favor of the Cowboys.

(3:39PM) TD After scoring on a kickoff return earlier in the game, WR Jakeem Grant now has added an offensive touchdown on a seven-yard run. Miami trails by ten points early in the final quarter.

(3:38PM) TD It has been a rough season for the Jets but facing the Redskins can cure all of a team's woes. The Jets have rolled against Washington and RB Le'Veon Bell just scored from one yard out.

(3:35PM) TD And just like that, the Vikings are back in the game against the Broncos. QB Kirk Cousins connected with WR Stefon Diggs who got past the defense for a 54-yard touchdown. The Vikings now trail by just three points after 13 straight points.

(3:31PM) TD With RB Marlon Mack done for the game, RB Jonathan Williams has been doing work while RB Nyheim Hines finished off the latest drive with a seven-yard score. Indy is cruising to a win over the Jags and QB Nick Foles

(3:29PM) TD Ravens RB Mark Ingram caught a short pass from QB Lamar Jackson and put the moves on Texans defenders, finding his way into the end zone.

(3:23PM) TD RB Dalvin Cook is playing his worst game of the season but he's found the end zone, scoring from three yards out. Cook now has 36 total yards in the game and the Vikings trail by ten points.

(3:18PM) TD Bills QB Josh Allen is having a big game and extended his team's lead over Miami with an eight-yard touchdown run. The Bills lead 30-14 and Allen has 52 rushing yards along with his 201 passing yards.

(3:16PM) TD It had been an ugly day for the Buccaneers and WR Chris Godwin but that changed as Godwin scored from 30 yards out. That touchdown cut the Saints lead to ten points late in the third quarter. Godwin now has three catches for 47 yards and a score.

(3:15PM) TD The Colts added to their lead as QB Jacoby Brissett scampered in from five yards away. Indy now leads 24-7.

(3:07PM) TD For the season, it is probably too little, too late for Atlanta but they have dominated their NFC South foes the past two weeks. QB Matt Ryan hit WR Calvin Ridley for a six-yard score to give Atlanta a 26-0 lead over the Panthers.

(3:03PM) TD Saints QB Drew Brees has done whatever he's wanted today and just now, he wanted to connect with WR Ted Ginn for a touchdown from six yards out. Done. The Saints lead 27-10.

(2:59PM) INJURY Colts RB Marlon Mack's injury is to his hand and he has been ruled out. Look for RBs Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins to see the work for the remainder of the game. It should be a concern that Mack was ruled out so quickly.

(2:58PM) TD WR Stefon Diggs made his first catch of the day, good for 44 yards and that led to a 10-yard touchdown pass from QB Kirk Cousins to rookie TE Irv Smith. The Vikings are on the board but still trail 20-7.

(2:57PM) TD After officials reversed the rushing touchdown for OL Quenton Nelson, QB Jacoby Brissett hit WR Marcus Johnson for the score.

(2:55PM) TD The Lions have closed the Dallas lead as QB Jeff Driskel hit WR Marvin Jones for an 11-yard score. Jones has three catches for 18 yards in the game.

(2:53PM) TD/INJURY After RB Marlon Mack left the game and went straight to the locker room with an injury, the Colts handed the ball for OL Quenton Nelson for a one-yard score. Yes, seriously. Indianapolis leads 16-7.

(2:49PM) We've focused on a lot of scoring today but many players are not doing their part. Among the players who have disappointed so far today include RB Leonard Fournette (28 total yards), RB Ezekiel Elliott (43 total yards), WR Kenny Golladay (0/0), WR Stefon Diggs (0/0), RB Dalvin Cook (10 total yards), WR Mike Evans (1/6), and WR Chris Godwin (1/4).

(2:41PM) TD Too easy...QB Lamar Jackson hit RB Mark Ingram in the flat and he runs down the sideline with no defenders even in the area. Good for a 25-yard score and a 21-0 lead over the Texans.

(2:33PM) TD The Bills are back in the end zone. QB Josh Allen found rookie TE Dawson Knox for a short pass over the middle and he ran over and past Miami's defenders for a 23-yard score.

(2:27PM) TD After somewhat of a breakout game a week ago, Cowboys WR Randall Cobb is coming through again. Cobb caught a 49-yarder from QB Dak Prescott and then a 19-yard touchdown pass, giving Dallas a ten-point lead as halftime approaches.

(2:22PM) TD After WR Julio Jones pulled down a 46-yard gain, the Falcons scored again on the first career touchdown for rookie RB Qadree Ollison from one-yard out. Atlanta leads the Panthers 19-0.

(2:19PM) Trailing by two scores late int he first half, QB Deshaun Watson took a hard sack and was slow to get up after landing awkwardly on his ankle. Watson was able to stay in the game but this could be something to monitor for the remainder of the game.

(2:17PM) TD The Dolphins are on the board as RB Kalen Ballage ran up the middle for a three-yard score, cutting into the Bills double-digit lead. Ballage has rushed six times for 0 yards, along with three receptions for eight yards.

(2:15PM) TD Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott finished off that drive highlighted by the Michael Gallup catch. Zeke ran the ball in for a one-yard score, helping Dallas regain the lead.

(2:14PM) BIG PLAY Cowboys WR Michael Gallup just made an amazing bobbling catch, giving him 103 yards in the game already.

(2:12PM) INJURY Colts TE Eric Ebron currently leads the team with 14 yards on two catches but he has also been in and out of the lineup as he deals with an illness.

(2:09PM) TD The Lions have taken the lead over the Cowboys as QB Jeff Driskel ran it in from two yards away. RB Bo Scarbrough is having a big game with 44 rushing yards on seven carries.

(2:08PM) TD The Buccaneers are on the board as RB Peyton Barber caught a short pass from QB Jameis Winston for a six-yard score. Expect many more passing yards from Winston as the Bucs play catch up against New Orleans.

(2:05PM) The Falcons touchdown from WR Russell Gage was overturned on a penalty and Atlanta had to settle for a field goal. Atlanta's lead is 13-0.

(2:03PM) TD QB Lamar Jackson is keeping himself in the league MVP conversation as he threw his second touchdown of the day, finding TE Mark Andrews for an 18-yard score. Jackson also leads the team with 46 rushing yards.

(2:00PM) TD The suddenly hot Falcons are dominating the Panthers in every aspect of the game. Having already scored a special teams touchdown, the Falcons intercepted QB Kyle Allen in the end zone and then finished off that same drive with a scoring-pass from QB Matt Ryan to WR Russell Gage. Atlanta leads 17-0 over Carolina.

(1:56PM) TD The Saints and QB Drew Brees are making things look easy against the Bucs defense today. Brees lobbed a pass to TE Jared Cook in the back end of the end zone, giving New Orleans a 20-0 lead.

(1:52PM) TD The Broncos have scored again as their rushing game came through. No, it wasn't RB Phillip Lindsay or even RB Royce Freeman. Instead, it was FB Andy Janovich with the one-yard score, giving Denver a commanding 17-0 lead over the Vikes.

(1:48PM) TD In what was expected to be the game of the day, the Ravens have taken the lead on a 15-yard touchdown pass from QB Lamar Jackson to WR Seth Roberts

(1:47PM) TD Cowboys rookie RB Tony Pollard caught a short pass from QB Dak Prescott and then put on the moves, juking multiple Lions on his way to a 21-yard score. Dallas now leads 10-7 early in the second quarter.

(1:45PM) TD The Jets had opted to settle for the field goal until a Redskins defender hit K Sam Ficken, resulting in a new set of downs for the Jets. QB Sam Darnold hit WR Robby Anderson in the back of the end zone for a six-yard score and a 13-0 lead over Washington.

(1:42PM) TD The connection between Bills QB Josh Allen and WR John Brown has been fruitful all season and it just resulted in another touchdown, a 40-yarder to give Buffalo a 12-0 lead.

(1:39PM) BIG PLAY For the Broncos, RB Phillip Lindsay lined up as the wildcat QB and after taking the snap, tossed the ball off to WR Courtland Sutton, who launched a 38-yard pass for WR Tim Patrick, putting them just outside the red zone.

(1:35PM) TD After a bone-headed play by Buccaneers TE O.J. Howard gave the ball to New Orleans, QB Drew Brees tossed an easy touchdown pass to a wide-open WR Michael Thomas, good for 16 yards. The Saints lead 13-0.

(1:33PM) TD The Colts have QB Jacoby Brissett back in action and they have a touchdown to tie this game in the first quarter. RB Marlon Mack ran it in from 13 yards out, locking the game at seven. Mack has seven grabs for 59 rushing yards through one period.

(1:32PM) TD The Broncos took advantage of DB Xavier Rhodes multiple times on their long drive and ended it with a three-yard touchdown pass from QB Brandon Allen to TE Troy Fumagalli, giving them a 10-0 lead over the Vikings.

(1:29PM) BIG PLAY The Saints were held to a field goal but not because of RB Alvin Kamara, who already has 30 rushing yards and 34 receiving yards, leading the team in both categories. Kamara also had a touchdown called back due to a penalty.

(1:24PM) BIG PLAY The Bills haven't found the end zone yet, but they do have a pair of field goals and an early 6-0 lead over Miami. RB Devin Singletary has six carries for 27 yards in the early going.

(1:20PM) TD The Jaguars welcome back QB Nick Foles and he looks fully healthy, tossing a 34-yard touchdown to WR D.J. Chark to give the Jags an early lead over the Colts.

(1:13PM) TD The Jets have found the end zone early, striking first against Washington. QB Sam Darnold scrambled out of the pocket and lofted a 20-yard pass to TE Daniel Brown for the score and the lead.

(1:08PM) TD The first score of the day comes from RB Bo Scarbrough, just moved up from the Lions practice squad as that team deals with multiple backfield injuries. The Lions got the ball in good position after Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott fumbled the ball.
