Roseville vs. Antelope, Granite Bay vs. Whitney.
- To the high school gridiron now. Former Grant High top assistant, Reggie Harris, is in his first season as Antelope's head coach today. They had Roseville in the season opener. Third quarter tied at 7, De'Magea Hogan-- he was a bully on this drive-- finished it off with a 6 yard score.
Now over to the Tigers, down seven in the fourth. Look at Carson Erchart-- looking like someone else who wore number two a certain Heisman winner-- takes it himself into the end zone, all tied up at 14 now. And here's how the deciding points were scored. Midway through the fourth, Curran Borders, breaks a tackle, and takes it to the promised land for six. Those were the final points as Antelope wins it, 21 to 14.
Granite Bay looking to bounce back after last week's loss to Folsom. The Grizzlies were at Whitney today. The third quarter was all Granite Bay, Christian Perry with the interception. That gives his offense a short field, and they waste no time. Nicholas Paloose to the flat connects with Carson Wigger, who will lose a tackle and takes it to the house. The Grizzlies were rolling at that point, up 20 to 3. Whitney needed a response, and instead, they gave it right back, a beautiful one-handed robbery from Tulsan Smith. The Grizzlies improved a two-in-one with a 27, 15 win.
