Week 3 Scoreboard: Big Red wins in OT, Cougars cruise

Week 3 is in the books.

Richland County had a decent week, going a combined 5-4. Let's check out what those scores were as well as some stats from the games we couldn't get to Friday with the Week 3 scoreboard.

Crestview 37, Highland 17

The Cougars picked up a convincing win over Highland in nonconference action.

Hayden Kuhn was 6-for-11 passing for 88 yards and a touchdown, while Adison Reymer ran for 148 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries. Owen Barker was the leading receiver with two catches for 48 yards and a TD.

Devin Holloway got the scoring started with a 36-yard field goal early in the first quarter before Kuhn hit Barker for a 9-yard TD pass to make it 10-0 early in the second. Reymer scored back-to-back TDs of 10 and 5 yards to push the lead out to 24-0. He scored again from 22 and 31 yards to cap off a busy night.

The Cougars (3-0) piled up 267 yards of total offense, with 179 of those coming on the ground. They host Western Reserve in Week 4 to kick off Firelands Conference play.

Plymouth 50, Wellington 42 OT

The Big Red won a wild one in Week 3, topping nonconference foe Wellington.

Shae Sparks's 7-yard touchdown run in overtime and two-point conversion score sealed the deal for the Big Red. He had three rushing touchdowns and a receiving score while running for 130 yards on 19 carries. The Big Red piled up 315 yards on 39 carries while throwing for 101 yards, giving them a total of 416 yards for the game. Trace McVey completed 3 of 10 passes for 65 yards and ran for 85 yards on seven carries. Layne Bushy added 46 yards on seven carries and Colton Sparks had 47 yards on three carries to help the Big Red overcome 20 fourth-quarter points by Wellington to survive in overtime.

Plymouth (2-1) hosts Monroeville in Week 4.
