FRIDAY

CONCORD-CARLISLE 27, Wayland 7: The host Warriors fell to 0-5 after a Dual County League crossover loss to the Patriots (3-2).

FRANKLIN 35, Taunton 14: Quarterback Jase Lyons went 16-of-25 for 232 yards and three passing touchdowns while also having six carries for 26 yards and a touchdown as Division 1 top-seeded Franklin (4-1, 2-0 Hockomock Kelley-Rex) defeated league host Taunton (3-2, 0-2 Kelley-Rex). Also leading the way offensively was senior Luke Davis with four catches for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns while also returning an interception for another touchdown at defensive back.

“Davis has done it for us time and time again,” Franklin coach Eian Bain said. “He’s one of the best athletes I’ve had the privilege to coach and he’s done it so well. He’s got a great head on his shoulders and we’re able to use him in so many different ways, and we had other players step up and make plays too but he always seemed to find a way into the end zone.”

HOLLISTON 35, Ashland 12: Holliston senior quarterback TJ Kiley (11-for-21, 203 yards, 3 TDs) threw touchdown passes to three different receivers and Devin Harding (15 rushes, 101 yards, 2 TDs; 3 rec., 46 yards, TD) scored three times to help erase the feeling of last year’s 20-14 loss to Tri-Valley League rival Ashland in Holliston. The Panthers improved to 4-1 (1-0 TVL Large) while the Clockers fell to 3-2 (0-1 TVL Large).

HOPKINTON 19, Norwood 14: Senior Joe Carrazza scored two rushing TDs (6 and 13 yards) as the host Hillers improved to 4-1 (1-0 TVL Large) with a close win over Tri-Valley League Large opponent Norwood (2-3, 1-1 TVL Large). Hopkinton junior Charles Petruney added a 20-yard TD reception from senior quarterback Robert Litscher.

HUDSON 27, Oakmont 7: Jake Attaway threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 150 yards and two TDs as the host Hawks (5-0) defeated the Spartans (3-2). Kyle Areias caught both touchdowns (30, 13 yards) and finished with five receptions for 65 yards. Harris Fagan scored from 2 yards in the second quarter for Oakmont.

LINCOLN-SUDBURY 24, Acton-Boxborough 14: Junior quarterback Cooper Tarantino had a 14-yard touchdown pass and a 16-yard touchdown rush, while junior Darius Braithwaite had a 21-yard TD scamper of his own, as L-S (2-3, 1-1 DCL Thorpe) defeated rival host A-B (1-4, 0-1 DCL Thorpe) at Leary Field.

Sophomore kicker Marcus Cassel got the L-S scoring started with a 32-yard field goal in the first half and finished 3-for-3 on extra points. The L-S defense was stifling for much of the night, as junior linebacker Calvin Pendergrast had an interception and fumble recovery to help lead the way. Jake Haarde also added a red-zone interception, while juniors Abdulraheem Kareem and Peter Abair played well on the defensive line.

MARLBOROUGH 28, Fitchburg 0: Miguel Borges rushed for two touchdowns, Fernando Rodriguez ran for another, and Michael Benway connected with Brandon Alfaro for a 24-yard TD to lead the visiting Panthers (4-1, 1-0 Mid-Wach B) past the Red Raiders (0-5, 0-1).

MAYNARD/AMSA 48, Groton-Dunstable 0: Dylan Gallo completed 19 of 25 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns to Mateo Arellano (11 catches, 150 yards) as the visiting Tigers (4-1) shut out the Crusaders (3-2). Maynard's Patrick Andrews ran for a 54-yard score and caught a 22-yard scoring pass from Gallo. Akrif Semakula ran for 110 yards on 15 carries for Maynard, and teammate Tavin Hirsh also caught a touchdown pass from Gallo. Maynard's Kalvin Gomez returned an interception 28 yards for a score.

MEDWAY 28, Norton 16: Quarterback Luke Frauton had 11 carries for 89 yards and two TDs while also going 6-for-10 for 153 yards and two TDs through the air as the Mustangs (1-4, 1-0 TVL Small) won their league opener over Norton (0-4, 0-1 TVL Small). Brendan MacNamara caught two balls for 83 yards and a TD, and senior Will Haddigan had two catches for 53 yards and had an interception on defense.

MILFORD 33, North Attleborough 15: Quarterback Evan Cornelius scored three touchdowns, Romeo Holland had another and Nick Araujo kicked a 40-yard field goal and had an interception as the Scarlet Hawks moved to 5-0 (2-0 Hockomock Kelley-Rex) with a big win over Kelley-Rex foe North Attleborough (2-2, 0-2 Kelley-Rex). Milford, the No. 1 team in the Division 2 state power ratings, will face No. 2 King Philip (5-0) next Friday night (7 p.m.).

NASHOBA 42, Westborough 7: Ben Silvester rushed for two touchdowns, while Thomas Kuefler rushed for a 45-yard touchdown and caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from Michael Guthrie to help the host Wolves (3-2, 1-0 Mid-Wach B) run past the Rangers (0-5, 0-1). Guthrie added a 55-yard touchdown in the third quarter, while teammate Aidan McLaughlin capped the scoring for Nashoba with a 22-yard score in the fourth quarter. Westborough's Jake Martin returned an interception 35 yards for a score in the second quarter.

NEWTON NORTH 34, Framingham 14: Adam Landry threw two touchdown passes, one to Brendan O'Guin who also threw a TD, as the host Tigers (1-4, 1-1 BSC Carey) won their first game of the year over the Bay State Conference Carey rival Flyers (1-4, 1-1 BSC Carey).

ST. BERNARD'S 40, Nipmuc 7: Damien Jones (7 carries, 131 yards) and Antonio Mancini (6 carries, 117 yards) each had two rushing touchdowns to pace the host Bernardians (4-1) past the Warriors (1-4). Salvi Bilotta tossed a 75-yard scoring pass to Jemeson Williams for St. Bernard's. Nipmuc's Brady Karmelek caught a 14-yard scoring strike from Chris Casey.

SHEPHERD HILL 22, Algonquin 9: Joshua Harrison rushed for two scores and Luke Welton caught a 65-yard touchdown pass from Luke Hill as the visiting Rams (2-3, 1-1 Mid-Wach A) topped the Titans (1-4, 0-2). Senior Dylan Terra had a 2-yard rushing score for Algonquin, while senior Alex Klein booted a 30-yard field goal.

SOUTHBRIDGE 43, Keefe Tech 15: Luis Gonzalez returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, ran for a 17-yard score and caught a 38-yard touchdown pass from Blake Andrews as the visiting Pioneers (3-2) beat the Broncos (0-3). Andrews added a 1-yard rushing score for Southbridge and teammate Jonathan Miranda returned a fumble 52 yards for a touchdown. Aubrey Moeng chipped in a 3-yard rushing touchdown for Southbridge.

WELLESLEY 31, Natick 0: Max Poirier had 103 yards from scrimmage on nine touches, including a receiving touchdown (27 yards) and a rushing touchdown (6 yards) for the Raiders (3-2, 2-0 BSC Carey) in a win over Bay State Conference Carey rival Natick (1-4, 0-1 BSC Carey). Raiders senior quarterback Vincent Ferrara was 12-for-15 for 195 yards and two touchdowns through the air for Wellesley, which led 28-0 at the half. Additionally, Tom Burton had a 4-yard rushing TD and Xavier Ferrara had a 13-yard TD catch for Wellesley.

SATURDAY

BLACKSTONE-MILLVILLE 34, St. Paul 6: The Chargers improved to 2-3 with a win over St. Paul (0-5)/

BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 33, Bay Path 0: Alexander Burgos completed 9 of 16 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns as the host Beavers (2-3, 2-0 Colonial) blanked the Minutemen (2-3, 1-1). Jordan St. Pierre caught three passes for 90 yards and a score, while Jayden Roderigues carried 12 times for 60 yards and two touchdowns to help the Valley Tech offense.

DOVER-SHERBORN 18, Bellingham 12: Emilio Cabey caught the game-winning touchdown with 24 seconds to play as D-S, which trailed 12-3 entering the fourth quarter, rallied to remain perfect at 5-0.

TRI-COUNTY 22, Diman 21: Freshman quarterback Declan Walker scored twice in the fourth quarter on runs of 1 and 6 yards as the Cougars (1-3) earned a Mayflower Large win over Diman, coach Andy Gomes' first at the helm.

SUNDAY

WORCESTER TECH 20, Assabet 19: Senior Charles Manu Jr. rushed 14 times for 105 yards and two touchdowns, while classmate Gabriel Pinion rushed nine times for 36 yards and a score as the Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak by fending off the Aztecs at Polar Park.

Junior Chris Hatch (18 carries, 97 yards) rushed for two touchdowns in the third quarter as Assabet tried to rally, but the Eagles were able to run out the clock and seal the win.
