Week 7 highlights: Greencastle's offense goes cold in third straight loss

The third time wasn't the charm Friday for Greencastle-Antrim.

The Blue Devils (4-3) lost their third straight game, falling 38-23, to Susquehanna Township on homecoming night.

In the first half, it looked like a back-and-forth offensive affair. Both teams traded scoring drives, which led to a 22-17 lead for Susquehanna Township at the half.

But after that point, there wasn't much offense to speak of for Greencastle.

The Blue Devils couldn't keep up with the speedy offense that the Indians were rolling with. Big run after big run helped Susquehanna grow the lead, and Greencastle couldn't respond. The Indians had three 50-plus yard touchdowns in the game.

Tavon Cooper was a bright spot for the Blue Devils, who totaled 131 rushing yards in the game, enough for him to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark on the season. He found the end zone twice in the game.

The road for Greencastle doesn't get easier, as it travels to Gettysburg next week for a matchup with the 6-1 Warriors.

Altoona 27, Chambersburg 23: A late fumble sunk the Trojans, who led most of the game. Altoona converted after the turnover, scoring with 21 seconds left in the game.
