Week in Art: 'Pikas, Prairies, and the Climate Crisis' opens with Boulder reception

Museum of Boulder: Kicking off its new photography exhibit about saving wildlife, "Pikas, Prairies, and the Climate Crisis," will hold an opening reception this weekend. Featuring field photography and video, this exhibit explores the connections between Colorado's shortgrass prairies and the American Pika. Pikas are a cold-loving species, are threatened by warming temperatures. Visitors will learn about conservation efforts at this opening that will include light snacks and refreshments, exhibit runs through Jan. 8; 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday; Museum of Boulder, 2205 Broadway, Boulder; museumofboulder.org.

Shark's Ink: New lithograph "Codex YTREBIL," (which spells "liberty" backwards) was released by Enrique Chagoya. The work is based on small books by anonymous Indigenous artists in the 16th century.
