This week in El Paso includes Comic Con, Earth Day events and Earth, Wind & Fire
El Pasoans are venturing out to enjoy concerts, farmers' markets, and art shows as the coronavirus pandemic eases.
Here's what's happening this week if you're looking for a fun night out in El Paso County.
Friday
El Paso Comic Con: Comic con will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the El Paso convention center, 1 Civic Center Plaza. Convention Center Box Office will open one hour prior to doors opening each day. Tickets will be $10 more if purchased at the door. Tickets are $20 for Friday, $35 for Saturday, and $30 for Sunday. Children 2 and under are free with a paid adult. All tickets are General Admission. The Weekend Ticket is $65, good for all three days. The VIP tickets are $175 which include a badge, lanyard and swag and entry to VIP Launch Party. Tickets are available at the Plaza Theatre Box Office and online at www.elpasocomiccon.com
El Paso Symphony Orchestra: The orchestra will present "When in Rome" concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Plaza Theatre, 125 W Mills Ave. It will feature Natasha Pareski on piano. Tickets, ranging from $16 to $46, plus fees, are available via Ticketmaster.com
UTEP Dinner Theatre: The theater will present dinner performances of the classic Stephen Sondheim musical, Into the Woods, at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday,, Wednesday*, Thursday*, April 29-30, May 4*, 5*, 6-7. (*Discount Dinner Performance); matinee dinner performance at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.* Also, no dinner matinee performances at 2:30 p.m. May 1 and 8. Friday and Saturday Dinner Performances cost $53.50 for adults, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday matinee dinner performances cost $48.50 for adults and $32.50 for no dinner matinees. Dance Nation: The UTEP Department of Theatre and Dance will present the play about competitive dancers clawing their way to the top of nationals at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday and April 29, and 2 p.m. Sunday at the June Sadowski Kruszewski Studio Theatre in the Fox Fine Arts Building. Pop-up Gallery: The Hal Marcus Gallery, will have a Pop in to our Pop Up, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in front of the gallery, 1308 N. Oregon St. The pop-up will feature a variety of gift ideas including jewelry, ceramics, soaps, and wax candles.
Cielo Vista Mall: The mall will celebrate Earth Week with events focused on sustainability from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdayon the lower level, near JC Penny store.
Earth Day and World Book Day at the Market: Celebrate Earth Day and World Book Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Farmers’ Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing in Sunland Park, New Mexico. Downtown Farmers Market: The El Paso Downtown Artist and Farmers Market, featuring handmade arts and crafts and regional agricultural products, is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at 117 Anthony St.

Tempers: The New York City electronic pop duo will perform at 9 p.m. Sunday at The Reagan. The duo recently released its forthcoming new album, New Meanings. Tickets are $15, excluding fees, available at Eventbrite.com
Scenic Sunday: Scenic Drive shuts down to traffic from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Sunday so walkers, runners, cyclists and skaters can enjoy a traffic-free adventure. Free. More information: elpasotexas.gov.

Karaoke Night: Speaking Rock Entertainment Center, 122 S. Old Pueblo Road, is hosting karaoke nights from 7 to 10 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays with a chance to win prizes. For people ages 21 and older.
