'A week that felt like a month': Sarah Ryan discusses emotions of Matt Ryan's trade to Colts

Matt and Sarah Ryan didn't enjoy the process that brought them to Indianapolis, but they're happy to be here.
Sarah Ryan joined a podcast hosted by Kelly Stafford – the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford – and talked family, partying, that Week 1 Colts tie and more.
Sarah Ryan said she and Matt had an emotional week as the Atlanta Falcons traded the quarterback to the Colts.

"It came as a big surprise," she said. "It was a week that felt like a month."
Sarah Ryan said she wanted to take to social media to vent, but was encouraged not to.
"It didn't go down great," she said, declining to offer more detail.
She added the transition to the Indianapolis area has been positive.
"A change that we didn't see coming, but embrace the change and change can be good," she said.

Matt Ryan's children
Marshall and Johnny are 4 years old and love the move, their mother said. ("Psyched about the new gear. Our boys are psyched about winter. They can't wait to go sledding.")
Matt Ryan's unusual family connection
Sarah Ryan said she met Matt when they were Boston College freshmen, but didn't became a couple immediately. The issue came to forefront when they were renting a movie at a Blockbuster (remember, Matt Ryan is 37 years old), and one of Matt's teammates, upon meeting Sarah, said, "So is this your girlfriend?"
Sarah Ryan said that, while watching a movie later that day, they became "official."
Sarah Ryan, who played basketball at BC, lived with her sister in Boston for a year after graduating as Matt finished his football eligibility. Sarah and Matt introduced her sister, Maggie, to Matt's brother, Mike. Maggie and Mike got married before Sarah and Matt.
Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford, and their wives, are godparents to each other's children
Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford met at the Pro Bowl following the 2014 season, and they and their wives hit it off immediately. The Staffords have four children and the Ryans two.
