This week at Harbor Park: Norfolk Tides open second half with Turn Back the Clock Night

A look at the Norfolk Tides as they return home to begin a six-game homestand against the Charlotte Knights, the top affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.

The Tides, first-half International League champions, enjoy a rare day off Tuesday, then begin a six-game homestand against Charlotte on Wednesday that runs through Monday.

Norfolk’s record: 48-26

New in town: RHP Justin Armbruester made his Triple-A debut last week for the Tides, allowing two hits and striking out seven over five innings. Armbruester, 24, is a former 12th-round draft pick out of New Mexico.

In the Charlotte dugout: OF Oscar Colás, rated Chicago’s No. 2 overall prospect by MLB.com, rose from Class A to Triple-A last season, batting .314 with 23 home runs. The Cuba native is hitting .292 with five homers and 25 RBIs this season.
