Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. Monday, Jan 2. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. THURSDAY

Discover Tall Ship Pinta

9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 through Sunday, Jan. 22. Plaza De Luna, 900 S. Palofox St. A replica of Christopher Columbus’ famous ship will be open for dockside educational tours. The Pinta was the first ship to sight land in the “New World” on Oct. 12, 1492. The Pinta tours as a ‘sailing museum’ for the purpose of educating the public and school children on the ‘caravel,’ a Portuguese ship used by Columbus and many early explorers to discover the world. Adults: $8. Seniors 65 and older: #$7. Students age 5 to 16: $6. More info: ninapinta.org/tour.html.

FRIDAY

Pensacola Mardi Gras 12th Night Celebration

5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6. Downtown Pensacola, Palafox and Government streets. Take part in the 12th Night Celebration and Blessing of the Krewes. This will be the first year in a long time that Pensacola has been able to celebrate the 12th Night on its actual intended date, Jan. 6. King cake will be served for free to everyone in attendance. The celebration will be concluding after the cutting of the king cake, but attendees are free to keep partying. Special perks are available for VIP, with a decked-out VIP area featuring food and beverages. More info: pensacolamardigras.com.

SATURDAY

Mystic Krewe of Nereids King Kake Party

3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. Paradise Bar and Grill, 21 Via De Luna Drive, Pensacola Beach. Start Mardi Gras season on Pensacola Beach with the mermaid krewe. The party features DJ Boogie Inc., free king cake, and raffles. More info: pensacolamardigras.com.

7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. Court of Deluna Event Space, 116 E. Gonzalez St. Celebrate the Mardi Gras kick-off with the second annual Krewe of Priscus Ball. Dance the night away with a performance from Horseshoe Kitty while giving back to the community at the same time. All proceeds benefit The Secret Place and Children’s Home Society. SUNDAY

Beautiful Beginnings Bridal Expo

11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8. Pensacola Bay Center, 201 E. Gregory St. Brides and grooms-to-be are invited to the annual Bridal Expo, featuring wedding professionals on site with displays, information, samples and more. Tickets start at $10. Free for ages 12 and younger. More info: 850-432-0800.

Post-New Year's Eve B.A.R.E. Ball

8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. The biggest bar and restaurant employee event of the year returns. Have your bar/restaurant/nightclub holiday party with Seville as they celebrate post-New Year's Eve. Dress to impress. Black tie is preferred. No jeans.
