Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. French Quarter Fat Tuesday Celebration

11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. The Priscus Celebration, a longtime Pensacola Mardi Gras tradition, will take over every room inside the historic entertainment complex, turning Seville Quarter into the French Quarter with a Carnival curve. Many of the Gulf Coasts' best Krewes are teaming up to transform each room inside Seville, from the heartbeat of New Orleans’ Fat Tuesday to the soul of Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival. August Burns Red

6:30 p.m., doors; 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21. Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S. Palafox St. August Burns Red is likely the only metal act ever described as “thrillingly empathetic,” as was the case in Kerrang! magazine. It’s a testament to the ferocious band’s ability to recognize and connect with the mixture of brokenness and hope found in their audience and within themselves. 1 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24 through 26. Pensacola Bay Center, 201 E. Gregory St. Pensacon is the Gulf Coast’s premier pop culture convention. The three-day event takes place across multiple venues, including the Bay Center, Cultural Center, Rex Theatre, Museum of Commerce and the De Luna Event Space. Attendees can meet dozens of celebrity guests; browse and purchase pop culture collectibles on the vendor floor; sit in on interactive panels with actors, artists, authors and other creators; learn in informational workshops; enjoy live entertainment and film screenings; participate in family-friendly activities in Poseidon's Bay; cosplay and enter costume contests; and socialize with fellow fans. Gallery Night

5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24. Downtown Pensacola. Gallery Night Pensacola is a nonprofit organization with a dedicated goal of inspiring culture, engagement and the practice of arts of all types in an entertaining event for all ages and walks of life. These monthly events focus on specific themes, highlight featured artists and recruit the best creators the area has to offer. This month’s theme is STEAMpunk. More info: gallerynightpensacola.org.

5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24. First City Art Center, 1060 N. Guillemard St. Hot Glass Cold Brew returns with a post Mardi Gras celebration. Entertainment for the evening includes glass blowing and pottery demonstrations, live music from High Demand, an art market, kids activities and a gallery opening showcasing works from FCAC’s Gallery 1060 artists. Thom Kaz: Hypnaughty

7 and 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. World-renowned Hypnotist Thom Kaz brings his high-octane comedy hypnosis show to Seville Quarter with two performances. Benefit Concert for Ukraine

7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24. St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze. Join A Little More Hope Inc. on the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine for an evening of classical chamber music to support the ongoing humanitarian crisis there. The concert will feature the music of classical Ukrainian composers including Myroslav Skoryk, Mykola Lysenko, Boris Lyatoshinsky, and Valentin Silvestrov. ‘Nine’

7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 through 26. UWF Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82, 11000 University Parkway. “Nine,” with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and script by Arthur Kopit, is based on Federico Fellini’s 1963 film “8½.” It tells the story of film director Guido Contini, who dreading his imminent 40th birthday and facing a midlife crisis, must navigate his way through a creative block and a web of romantic difficulties. $20; $16 for senior citizens and active military, $14 for non-UWF students and UWF faculty and staff, and $7 for high school students. I Pink I Can Run

Main St. Pensacola Habitat for Humanity welcomes families, food lovers, adventure seekers and Pensacola Habitat supporters to its annual food truck festival in support of its mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Palafox St. Hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, Town Mountain is the sum of all its vast and intricate influences — this bastion of alt-country rebellion and honky-tonk attitude pushed through the hardscrabble Southern Appalachian lens of its origin. Pensacola Symphony Orchestra: Verdi Requiem

7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. With soaring moments of joy and dramatic fanfare, Verdi’s Requiem is one of the most treasured choral works of all time. In a special artistic collaboration, the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra will join forces with four celebrated soloists and more than 120 voices from The Hattiesburg Choral Union for Verdi’s Requiem Mass, a monumental masterpiece of joy, hope and passion.
