Week in review: Here are highlights from the week in high school sports
BASEBALL
Auburndale 5, Fort Meade 3
Highlights: Garrett Frost doubled home two runs to lift Auburndale over Fort Meade. Alexander Martin went 2 for 4.
Auburndale 11, Lake Gibson 1
Highlights: Alexander Martinez went 3 for 4 with five RBIs to help power the Bloodhounds past the Braves. Angel Santiago doubled, homered and drove in two runs. Eron Threlkeld and Garrett Frost each and a pair of hits and an RBI, and Colin Holmes doubled and drove in a run.
Frostproof 7, Mulberry 4
Highlights: Liam Howard doubled and went 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Joshua Brewer went 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Ian Rosado went 1 for 2 with an RBI.
Frostproof 11, Mulberry 10
Highlights: On the second night of back-to-back against Mulberry, Frostproof relinquished an 8-6 lead by allowing four runs in the top of the seventh. However, the Bulldogs rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull out the win. Trey Holman singled and drove in three runs, Austin Wilson tripled and drove in two runs, and Nico Rybinski singled and drove in two runs to lead Frostproof. Joshua Brewer went 3 for 4 with a run scored, and Luke Thornton went 2 for 3 with two runs scored.
Lake Region 7, Kathleen 5
Highlights: Jordan Gonzalez went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Lake Region. Jah'darius Richardson went 1 for 3 with two RBIs. Benjamin Carver went 2 for 3 with a run scored. William Peterson went 2 for 4 with an RBI. For Kathleen, Gunnar Adkins went 1 for 3 with two RBIs, and Juan Rivera also drove in a run.
Lake Region 3, Winter Haven 2
Highlight: Lake Region rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh. Koden Betchel drove in the winning run. For Winter Haven, Trent Padgett doubled and drove in two runs. Dylan Deleo also doubled, and Michael Parsain singled and scored.
Lake Wales 7, Sebring 6
Highlights: Gavin Dicks homered and finished 2 for 4 with two runs scored. Clayton Henrikson went 3 for 5 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Carter Finnell had two hits and drove in two runs, and Simon Scharff had two hits with a double and two RBIs. Parker Brown started and allowed two unearned runs in five innings with five strikeouts. Gage Chandley pitched a no-hitter over the final three innings with seven strikeouts.
Lake Wales 5, Santa Fe Catholic 3
Highlights: Lake Wales rallied for four runs in the top of the seventh inning. Gavin Dicks went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Simon Scharff went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. For Santa Fe, Marvin Montenegro went 2 for 2 with two RBIs.
All Saints 8, Ridge Community 7
Highlights: Lucas Perez and Scott Weltlin each had one hit with two RBIs to lead the Saints. Brock Thielen went 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Noah Campbell tripled and drove in a run. Cooper Wright finished 3 for 3 with a double three runs scored. For Ridge Community, Davin Fowler went 3 for 4 with an RBI, and Yami Martinez went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.
McKeel 7, George Jenkins 6
Highlights: Josh Quezada and Kaden Howell each singled and drove in two runs to lead McKeel. For Jenkins, Richie Collazo went 3 for 4 with a double, a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored. Paul Sweeney had three hits and a runs scored, and Deshaun Salter went 1 for 4 with two RBIs.
George Jenkins 10, Victory Christian 0
Highlights: The Eagles erupted for 10 runs in the second inning andiron in five innings. Richie Collazo homered and drove in three runs, and Wilfredo Ortiz went 2 for 2 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Lane Moore doubled and drove in a run, and Michael McComas singled and drove in two runs.
Lakeland Christian 9, A3 8
Highlights: Zachary Lester went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored. Colby Brewington went 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Daniel Herrera went 1 for 2 with a double and a run scored.
Lakeland Christian 11, Keswick Christian 1
Highlights: Colby Brewington 2 for 2 with a home run and four RBIs. Daniel Hartley went 2 for 2 with two RBIs and two runs scored, and Mitch Rodriguez singled and drove in a run. Carson Martin and Wesley Connor combined for a one-hitter with seven strikeouts.
SOFTBALL
Auburndale 13, Lake Wales 12
Highlights: Alyssa Wright drew a bases-loaded walk to cap a seven-run seventh inning as the bloodhounds rallied to beat the Highlanders. Auburndale walked 10 times and finished with 13 hits. Nazyah Jones went 3 for 4 with two runs scored. Kagan Dudney went 2 for 5 with an RBI and three runs scored. Halie Bradley went 3 for 4 with four RBIs, and Gabriella Gonzalez went 1 for 3 with there RBIs. Victoria Charles and Kendra Strickland each had a hit an RBI and two runs scored, and Kassidy Pontbriant singled and drove in a run. For Lake Wales, Kirsten McRae and Sydnie Whitaker each homered. Whitaker finished 3 for 5 with an RBI and McRae went 1 for 4 with four RBIs. Presley Smith doubled and went 3 for 5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Keira Davis went 2 for 4 with an RBIs and two runs scored. Lydia Denton finished 2 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Fort Meade 17, Haines City 4
Highlights: Marleigh Carroll homered and drove in three runs, and Cai Johnson singled and drove in two runs to lead the Miners. Nakaia Pinkston went 1 for 1 with three runs scored, and Kenya Faulk went 1 for 3 with three runs scored. For Haines City, Calonnie Holmes went 1 for 3 with two runs scored. Jomari Santana went 1 for 3 with RBI.
Fort Meade 14, Mulberry 3
Highlights: Kenya Faulk went 3 for 4 with two doubles, one triple and four RBIs. Jy'Kia Faulk went 2 for 4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored and Marleigh Carroll went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs to lead Fort Meade. Savanah Scott and Gracie Taylor each had one hit and an RBI. For Mulberry, MacKenzie Bull had two hits, Gracie Donalson went 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Kelsey Perdomo drove in a run.
Winter Haven 8, Sebring 5
Highlights: Trinity Hatcher went 1 for 3 with two RBIs to lead the Blue Devils. Kaprice Leonard, Mariah Dawkins, Isabel Bisesi each had one hit with an RBI.
Winter Haven 14, Davenport 4
Highlights: Kaprice Leonard went 3 for 4 with a double, triple and three RBIs, and Kendall Hobbs went 4 for 4 with three RBIs to lead the Blue Devils. Reese Wells went 3 for 5 with a run scored, Trinity Hatcher went 2 for 4 with an RBI and three runs scored, and Kourtney Campbell had two hits and two RBIs.
George Jenkins 4, Winter Haven 2
Highlights: Rachel Matta went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, and Mackenzie Mathers went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Mathers pitched four innings and allowed two runs on four hits. Payton Spears pitched three shutout innings in relief. The Blue Devils got both their runs on Tori Hurles' two-run homer. Mariah Dawkins had two hits.
Ridge Community 13, Liberty 8
Highlights: Ridge Community pounded out three doubles and four triples and finished with 14 hit. Tamyra Minisci finished 4 for 4 with a double, two triples and two RBIs. Timmesha Bodison sent 2 for 5 with a triple, and RBI and two runs scored. Jayla Jackson doubled and scored a run. Camilla Marrero Ortiz had two hits and two RBIs, and Keirsten Garman went 4 for 4 with a double, triple and and RBI.
Ridge Community 15, Kathleen 0
Highlights: For Ridge, Jazarria Hall went 2 for 4 with four RBIs, Timmesha Bodison went 2 for 2 with two RBIS and three runs scored, and Amanda Martinez drove in two runs.
George Jenkins 19, Lake Gibson 1
Highlights: Payton Spears went 3 for 3 with eight RBIs, Riley Pate went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Kira Struchko went 1 for 1 with two RBIs.
Lake Region 4, George Jenkins 2
Highlights: For Lake Region, Hannah White and Kirsten Aldridge each had one hit and two RBIs. For George Jenkins, Jazlyn Duque went 3 for 4. Payton Spears and Riley Pate each had a hit and a run scored.
McKeel 5, Lake Placid 2
Highlights: Kerissa Howell slammed two home runs and drove in four runs to lead McKeel over Lake Placid. Mary Montgomery also drove in a run.
Lakeland Christian 10, Seffner Christian 0
Highlights: Cali Thornton went 2 for 2 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs scored. Paityn Donalson went 2 for 4 with three runs scored, and Emily Gravitt went 1 for 2 with three runs scored. McKenna Gravitt went 1 for 2 with two runs scored.

Highlights: For LCS, McKenna Gravitt singled and drove in a run.
