Get the week started with Sunday brunch in Palm Beach
Bloody Marys, mimosas, eggs, avocado toast and gilded good vibes aren’t the only allure of Sunday brunch in Palm Beach.
There’s live music, not high-energy beat-thumping dance grooves, but more along the lines of easy-listening tunes of a guitar player, say, or a jazz chanteuse or DJ.
At Swifty’s at The Colony, guitarist and vocalist Evan Grushka plays Sundays from noon to 5 p.m., coinciding with the poolside brunch.
The versatile Grushka, who’s booked for this month, also plays keyboards and other instruments.
Swifty’s brunch, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., features such menu items as egg dishes, tuna tartare ($36), grilled artichoke with vinaigrette ($28), and executive chef Tom Whitaker’s fish and chips ($39).
Swifty’s also features brunch on Saturdays, when a DJ often plays a mix of oldies and current tunes.
Live music joined the Sunday brunch scene at Café Boulud this past summer and now features contemporary jazz singer Bianca Rosarrio.

Gazpacho verde ($20), smoked salmon ($29), brisket sandwich ($23) and poached eggs Florentine ($29) are among the menu items offered at the brunch, which takes place from noon to 3 p.m.
Sunday brunch at the Meat Market always features a DJ who is selected weekly from a rotating group that includes James Simmons. Popular local DJ Adam Lipson — who plays Thursday evenings at Meat Market — books the talent for the Sunday brunch.
This season, all of the Veuve Clicquot Champagne you care to drink costs $65 at Meat Market’s Sunday brunch (11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), where dishes range from oysters Rockefeller with truffle ($18), crispy duck with sweet-potato waffles ($18) and short-rib hash ($22).
Elsewhere, music spikes up Sunday brunch at the Four Seasons’ Florie’s, the oceanfront hotel’s signature restaurant.
DJs, individual musicians and duos have been part of the weekly changing lineup.
Florie’s brunch buffet ($130 adults; $75 children younger than 12) takes place from noon to 2:30 p.m.
Some dishes are presented tableside. Look for omelets, raw-bar fare, pizza, Wagyu beef sliders and desserts galore.
