Colorado Shakespeare Festival at CU Boulder this weekend launches "Coriolanus," the Bard's political tragedy based on the life of the legendary Roman leader and his polarizing times, and it will be on stage 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and various dates through Aug. 7, at the University Mainstage on the CU campus; $19-$69; cupresents.org.

Candlelight Dinner Playhouse in Johnstown is staging a musical version of "Cinderella," a fairytale about how life apparently requires a handsome, wealthy and powerful man to make a young woman happy, through Sept. 4, 4747 Marketplace Drive; $29-$66; coloradocandlelight.com.

Firehouse Art Center in Longmont is hosting Empathy Theatre Project's "One Voice: Community Monologues," a series aiming to foster and spread empathy with true stories. Longmont Theatre Company and Theater Company of Lafayette teamed up to put "Taste of Shakespeare: Antony and Cleopatra" on stage.
