It’s Easter weekend, and plenty of egg hunts and Easter activities are going on all over town. But the calendar also offers big concerts by Journey and Kane Brown.

Here are some of the activities fun seekers can participate in this weekend:

Easter Egg hunts, other Easter fun

Friday-Saturday

It’s Easter weekend, and plenty of venues around town are welcoming Wichitans for hunts, Easter Bunny photos and more. Here are some of the Easter events happening around town:

Easter Celebration at Towne East Square, 7700 E. Kellogg: From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, visitors can meet the Easter Bunny on the lower level center court area. The first 25 people who arrive will get an Easter goodie bag. Cookie decorating, face painting, crafts and giveaways also are on the agenda.

Sedgwick County Zoo, 5555 W. Zoo Blvd.: The zoo’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza features an unorthodox Easter Egg Hunt in which the Easter Bunny hides giant eggs around the zoo that visitors need to find so they can collect a prize on the way out. The event, which lasts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is free with regular zoo admission.

All Star Sports, 8333 W. 21st St.: This venue will be putting on its 11th annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday. The event starts at 10 a.m. and costs $5 cash per child. Hunters are encouraged to arrive early, bring their own baskets and prepare to pose for photos with the Easter bunny. All Star Sports’ sister venue, All Star Adventures, on the east side, is not putting on an egg hunt this year.

Chicken N Pickle, 1240 N. Greenwich: The entertainment venue will celebrate Easter from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and will offer an egg hunt, face paining from noon to 2 p.m., crafts for kids, pickleball with the Easter Bunny and yard games. The egg hunt for ages 1-4 will be from 11 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.; for 5-7 year olds, it will be from 11:30 to 11:45 a.m.; and for ages 8-10 it will be from 11:44 a.m. until 12:05 p.m. Hunters should bring their own baskets. Admission is free.

Walters Pumpkin Patch, 10001 NW US Highway 77, Burns: This popular Halloween hangout will put on its annual Easter Fest on Saturday. The event, which lasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will include Easter eggs being dropped from a plane, face time with baby animals and more. Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, which starts at 8:30 a.m., is $10. Egg drops happen at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and tickets for those are $12.95. AbilityPoint Easter Egg Hunt, 9:30 a.m. Saturday, AbilityPoint, 2019 W. Second St.: This egg hunt is just for special-education students ages 12 and under along with their siblings. It’s free to enter. Call 316-943-1191 extension 113 with questions.

Tulip Festival continues

10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Botanica, 701 Amidon

Botanica’s Tulip Festival continues on Saturday, when visitors can gaze at the venue’s 70,000 tulips, hear live music, eat at food trucks, get their faces painted, take carousel rides, visit a petting zoo and more. The festival’s hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adult admission is $12, youth are $10 and members are free. The festival concludes on April 15 with the same activities and hours. Journey at Intrust Bank Arena

7:30 p.m. Saturday, Intrust Bank Arena, 500 E. Waterman

Classic rock band Journey, best known for hits from the 1970s and 1980s like “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Wheel in the Sky,” “Any Way You Want It” and more, will bring its 50th anniversary Freedom Tour 2023 to Wichita’s Intrust Bank Arena on Saturday. The show, which starts at 7:30 p.m., will feature opening act Toto. Journey’s lineup will include founder Neal Schon on lead guitar, Jonathan Cain on keyboards and Arnel Pineda on lead vocals. Tickets range from $35 to $150 and are available at selectaseat.com, by calling 316-755-SEAT or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

Kane Brown in concert

7 p.m. Thursday, Intrust Bank Arena

Country star Kane Brown also will perform at Intrust Bank Arena this week. The singer, who found fame on social media and is best known for songs like “Heaven,” “What Ifs” and “Homesick,” will bring his Drunk or Dreaming Tour there on Thursday. Also on the ticket: Dustin Lynch and LOCASH. Tickets for the show, which starts at 7 p.m., are $29.50 to $125 at selectaseat.com, by calling 316-755-SEAT or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

Take me out to the flea market

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Riverfront Stadium, 275 S. McLean Blvd.

It’s Flea Market weekend again in Wichita, and this time, it’ll be at a new venue: Riverfront Stadium. The monthly shopping event will include 200 booths spread out on the concourses surrounding the baseball field. Vendors will be selling things like jewelry, artwork, comics, reclaimed items, collectibles, antiques and more. The market is one day only this time and will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. It will also include an appearance by the Eater Bunny from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., an Easter egg hunt, bounce houses and yard games. Tickets are $3, free for ages 12 and under and are available at entrance at the north west corner of the stadium.

ICT Block Party

3 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Wave, 650 E. Second St.

The ICT Block Party is an all-ages outdoor event going on from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Wave, the big music venue at Second and St. Francis. The block party will feature food for sale from food trucks, a merchandise market, a kid zone, music by DJ Cadence, a car show and a bar. Admission is free for the first 1,000 people, then it’s $3 at the gate. For more information, visit waveict.com.
