Father’s Day is Sunday, and plenty of options are available to help you celebrate with dear ol' dad and spend time with family.

Live music performances will kick off the weekend with a blues blowout at the Hank Aaron Sports Academy Smith-Willis Stadium featuring King James and other local blues artists.

Jimmy Wooten will also be performing this weekend at Martin's Downtown plus brunch, open mic, are also all part of this weekend's mix.

This month is also pride month and several pride events are on the schedule this weekend and in the coming weeks, including a Gay-rage sale to catch a good bargain and benefit Mississippi Capital City Pride.

Father's Day Weekend Blues Blow Out

King George will be performing live for the first time in Mississippi. Along with other artists, Ronnie Bell, Vick Allen, Tre Williams, Jeff Floyd, Rosalyn Candy, DJ Jubilee and Gold Gillis.
