Shakespeare, sort of

William Shakespeare is known to have written at least three dozen tragedies, histories and comedies, and a group of actors from St. Augustine's Apex Theatre Studio is doing almost all of them this weekend at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged" runs through 37 of the Bard's works, at breakneck speed and with a casual disregard for things like props and plotlines. It's at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. $22.37.

Summer Breeze Music Fest

It's a block party and music festival all rolled into one. The Summer Breeze Music Fest is at the Ritz Theatre in LaVilla on Saturday, with food trucks and DJ Dark Breeze out front and live music inside starting at 3:30 p.m. The schedule has the Jason Alexander Quartet coming on at 3:30 p.m., Big Papa Fish at 5, Caribe Groove at 6:30 and the Noel Freidline Quintet at 8 p.m. $40.

Fortune Child

Fortune Child is a four-piece rock band from Jacksonville with some big-name friends. The band, formerly called Danger Bird, worked with former Journey and Lynyrd Skynyrd producer Kevin Elson for its debut album, "Close to the Sun." They play a hometown show Saturday at Jack Rabbits, with Roxx Revolt & the Velvets and El Castillo opening. 8 p.m. $8.
