Learn about wildlife adaptations Thursday at WonderLab

Need something to do with your kids?

WonderLab’s Wild Animal Adaptations is a showcase of animals and their adaptations that continues with three time slots on Thursday.

WildCare Inc.'s wildlife rehabilitation experts will talk about the ambassador animal, which you may be able to see up close, depending on the ambassador’s temperament that day.

After the 30-minute program, take part in a hands-on activity relating to the ambassador you learned about. The programs focus on a single animal, which could be a box turtle, Virginia opossum, silver haired bat, striped skunk, African spurred tortoise, or Woma python. This program is designed for families with children.

Shows will be: 11-11:30 a.m., appropriate for ages 3-adult; 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m., appropriate for ages 3 to adult; and 1:15-1:45 p.m. appropriate for ages 8 to adult. Price is $6 per person for members; $20 per person for nonmembers; $5 per person with access pass. For tickets or more information, go online to wonderlab.org.
