Weekend things to do: We’re Messi and pink, ODing on Maniscalco and walking with sake in Delray Beach

There’s this whole pink thing going on this weekend, which makes sense. As you may have heard, Friday’s match between Inter Miami CF and Cruz Azul at Fort Lauderdale’s DRV PNK Stadium will be the first time we’ll see the new guy, Lionel Messi, in the ol’ rosé and noire. What, there’s a Barbie movie, too? Who knew?

THURSDAY

Weekend laughs:Popular comedian and actor Sebastian Maniscalco begins an unprecedented four-night run (four!) at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood at 8 p.m. Thursday. Walk in the park: The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach hosts another after-hours Sunset Stroll from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, offering a relaxing meander through six distinctive Roji-en gardens, with pit stops at the Sake Station and the Cornell Cafe, which will have hors d’oeuvres for purchase. The museum theater will host live taiko drumming performances by Fushu Daiko at 6, 6:45 and 7:30 p.m. (tickets free while they last). Sunset Stroll costs $8 (members pay $5) at Morikami.org.

McMahon of the hour: Led by its eponymous singer-songwriter and keyboardist, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness brings millennial pop and a charismatic live show to Revolution Live in downtown Fort Lauderdale on Thursday night. Hard times: The long-awaited reunion tour by grease-painted hard-rock hellions Mudvayne hits iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. He is here: First things first, and wth all due respect to Ice Spice, the biggest show in town this weekend, is Lionel Messi‘s debut for Inter Miami CF at DRV PNK Stadium on Friday night. Rolling thunder: Rolling Loud brings some of the biggest names in popular music to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens from Friday through Sunday. Friday’s headliner, Playboi Carti, will be joined by Ice Spice, Kodak Black, Trippie Redd, Rae Sremmurd, Ski Mask the Slump God, Anuel AA and dozens of other acts. Saturday’s lineup is led by Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Lil Yachty, City Girls and Glorilla, while Sunday brings A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, Offset, Bryson Tiller, Don Toliver, Polo G, Latto and more. The beer is here:The uncomplicated joys of Fort Lauderdale’s out-of-the-way nanobrewery LauderAle — they have a crispy blonde ale called I Got Lost on My Way Here — will be on display when they celebrate their ninth anniversary this Friday through Sunday. The party will include more than 20 beer releases, favorite food trucks (including Kaminari Ramen, Nacho Bizness and Battle Rig BBQ) and live music (The Ries Brothers, Glass Cities). Classic sounds:Pretty much every day I learn how ignorant I am. I lived in Texas for many years and only recently came across what is now my favorite* ZZ Top song of all time (*for now), “I Gotsta Get Paid.” The Little Ol’ Band From Texas will be joined by Lynyrd Skynyrd when the co-headlining Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour comes to iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Weekend soundtrack: Just a reminder that rising country-music star Ashley Cooke, who grew up in Parkland, will release her debut album, “Shot in the Dark” (Big Loud Records), on Friday. She has tipped what’s on the ambitious 24-track release with a couple of singles, including the confident ballad “Your Place.” I’ll say it again — it feels like Cooke’s got big things in her future. Deerfield beer: It’s not that you need to have a local brewery to be an enjoyable place to live, but you wouldn’t want to live in a place without being able to enjoy a local brewery. Deerfield Beach will get its first brewery on Saturday when local siblings Kristy and Jay Whelchel open the surf-themed Cove Brewery in the dynamic Cove Shopping Center on the Intracoastal (1500 SE Third Court). Rosé special: Rebel Wine Bar, the feisty boutique boîte in Oakland Park, is all about pink this week, apparently not because of the Messi things going on a few miles away, but because of that Barbie movie. Walk, shop, drink: The Flamingo Flea returns to Tarpon River Brewing on Sunday, filling the downtown Fort Lauderdale beer-brunch destination with warm, crafty goodness from noon to 4 p.m. The kid- and dog-friendly event will include more than 30 vendors and beachy pop music from Genrey (noon-2 p.m.) and Brett Vaughn (2-4 p.m.).
