Willing to make a small drive? A new market is happening this weekend in Harper (about 50 miles southwest of Wichita) called The Market @ Mostaza. They’ve also opened a gallery there called Gallery Mostaza, which features their own ceramics as well as work from other local artists. The Shues put on several events a year, and their first-ever market will be on Saturday. It will feature artists spread throughout the gallery lawn, including the owner of Fatbird Foodboards, who makes charcuterie boards and furniture for several restaurants in Wichita, as well as artists selling glass jewelry, prints and more. The event also will feature food by South 50 Meats, a local farm family that offers farm-to-table items and will serve gourmet burgers and brats the day of the market. Bubbas Cheesecakes from Denver, whose owner is from Harper County, will be there with a cheesecake stand, and Candice and the Business Casual will perform throughout the morning. The market will last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free.
