The weekend before spring break in Bloomington has an eclectic mix: fungus, adult proms, music, movies and more. And March 14-16, there's even spring break fun for kids in Switchyard Park.

How "mush" do you know? Find out at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Monroe County Public Library, 303 E. Kirkwood Ave., at Fungus Friday. Young people, ages 12-19, can test their knowledge of mushrooms in a survival trivia game. The program is in partnership with the Indiana University MUSH Club.

Jordan Jensen makes debut performance at Comedy Attic

The first female to win "NY's Funniest Stand Up," Jordan Jensen, will make her debut in Bloomington Friday night at the Comedy Attic, 123 S. Walnut St.

Jensen's comedy consists of tales from her bizarre upbringing, highly unconventional family and filterless confessions of her time on Earth.

Talk birds at Ducks & Donuts Saturday morning

The Sassafras Audubon Society will resume its semi-annual Ducks & Donuts event 8-11 a.m. Saturday at Stillwater Marsh observation platform on McGowan Road. There will be doughnuts, coffee, binoculars and spotting scopes so participants can look at ducks, waterfowl and other birds. The free event is a chance to talk to birding experts in a scenic area. Birders of all ages and levels of experience are welcome.

Adult '80s prom Saturday evening in Nashville

Hard Truth Distilling Co. will host an adult '80s prom featuring a totally tubular night of music, dancing, food and drinks in the House of Rye. Guests are encouraged to dress the part in 1980s attire. Tickets are $49.99 and can be purchased online at https://bit.ly/3mlZzDZ for the 21-plus event.

Constant Smiles, the music collective led by prolific songwriter Ben Jones, will perform at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Blockhouse, 205 S. College Ave. Tickets for the 21-plus show are $10 per person.

Interactive screening of 'Encanto" Monday afternoon

The Monroe County Public Library, 303 E. Kirkwood Ave., will feature an interactive screening of "Encanto" from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Monday. An interactive movie is a showing of a movie game that presents gameplay in a cinematic, scripted manner, often through the use of full-motion animated video or live-action footage. Attendees will get a small bag of props to use during scripted times during the movie. This is for ages 5 and older.

Luck o' the Irish during spring break

Bloomington Parks and Recreation will host Spring Break Luck o' the Irish 2-4 p.m. March 14-16 at the Switchyard Park picnic shelter. There will be Irish and St. Patrick's Day themed activities for all ages. Participation fee is $1 per child per day. Anyone attending all three days will win a prize.
