Weekly COVID report: Three more deaths, 53 new cases

The Tuscarawas County Health Department reported 53 new cases of COVID-19 between April 28 and Thursday.

The Ohio Department of Health's Bureau of Vital Statistics reported three additional COVID-19 related deaths among Tuscarawas County residents since April 28, bringing the county's total to 505 people.

The county health department reported Friday that there have been 20,702 cases of COVID-19 among the county's population of 93,263. There were 156 active cases Friday.

The share of the population that has completed COVID vaccination was reported at 44.11%.

Upcoming vaccine clinics are: 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, drive-up at Dover McDonald's, 3384 Davis Road; and 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John United Church of Christ, 516 N. Wooster Ave., Strasburg.
