Here is the schedule and results of area high school volleyball matches for Aug. 29-Sept. 3 as listed on the South Dakota High School Activities Association web site:

Thursday's matches

Watertown 3, Brookings 0: Eve Hauger, Kendall Paulson, Emily Tisher and Emery Thury combined for 32 kills to power the Arrows to the 25-16, 25-19 and 25-21 win in their first home match of the season. Hauger had 10 kills, Paulson eight and Tisher and Thury each seven.

Paulson also went 18-19 serving with an ace and 12 digs. Hauger added four block assists and Tisher 16 digs and one solo and one block assist.

Other leaders for the Arrows (4-3) included Grace Corey, 22-23 serving with two aces, 25 assists and 13 digs; Miranda Falconer 11 assists and Maddy Rohde 18 digs.

Kymber Buys tallied 18 assists and 10 digs, Tayla Dobrenski seven kills, Sydney Bebensee five kills and Morgan Linstad 14 digs for Brookings (1-5).

The Arrows host Huron on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Civic Arena.

Hamlin 3, Flandreau 2: The Chargers (3-0, 1-0) won the Lake Central Conference match 25-15, 15-25, 22-25, 25-15 and 15-7. Kami Wadsworth led the way with 37 assists, three blocks and 17 digs. Ally Abraham contributed 17 kills, Gracelyn Leiseth 12 kills and four blocks and Ava Prouty 14 digs.

Flandreau (3-5, 0-1) received 12 kills and two blocks from Lily Klein, 11 kills and 26 digs from Claire Sheppard, 23 assists from Abby Schoberl and 27 digs from Sadie Iott.

Castlewood 3, Deubrook Area 1: The Warriors pushed their record to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Dakota Valley Conference with the 25-22, 14-25, 25-14 and 25-22 win. Emerson Carter made five kills and three blocks, Maddie Horn five kills and 24 digs, Mackenzie Everson 13 kills and 16 digs, Lyndsey Archer 19 digs and Gracie Haug two aces, 37 assists and 26 digs.

The Dolphins (now 0-2 and 0-2) got 10 kills from Skyla Petersen, seven kills and two blocks from Zoey Molengraaf, eight assists from Ellie Koenig, 18 digs from Miranda Moravetz, 14 digs from Delaney Pedersen and two aces, 11 assists, nine kills, 17 digs and two blocks from Brooke Koppatschek.

Florence-Henry 3, Arlington 0: The Falcons remained unbeaten (4-0) with 25-10, 25-20 and 25-15 wins over the Cardinals (2-3).

Florence-Henry's leaders included Karli Sharp with two aces and 20 digs, Reese Schmidt 33 assists, Caylin Kelly 11 kills and eight blocks, Macey Lane eight kills and 24 digs and Aysia Pahl seven blocks.

Webster Area 3, Britton-Hecla 1: The Bearcats won the Northeast Conference match 25-22, 25-18 and 26-24. Webster Area (3-1, 2-0) leaders included Mikala Wagner with three aces, Baylie Somsen two aces and six assists, Bayleann Moen 12 digs and four kills, Gracie Cadwell, 10 kills and 11 digs and Kara Kwasniewski six solo blocks and 11 digs.

The Braves (2-2 and 1-1) were led by Tiyanna Schott with seven aces, Emma Kraft four kills, Kaegan Fredrickson five kills, Jayden Bender eight assists and Katee Freeman eight digs.

Tri-State 3, Great Plains Lutheran 2: The visiting Tigers took the Eastern Coteau Conference thriller 27-25, 19-25, 14-25, 25-19 and 15-12.

Madeline Prahl tallied four aces and 16 kills, Olivia Holmen four aces and 15 kills, Kyrie Roberts 19 assists and Kaitlyn Rawertz 15 assists for GPL (1-6).

Milbank 3, Clark-Willow Lake 1: The Bulldogs (3-0, 3-0) won the Northeast Conference match 25-21, 23-25, 25-14 and 25-15 over the Cyclones (0-3, 0-1).

Addisyn Krause finished with four aces, 24 assists and 12 digs for Milbank. Other leaders included Rachel Schulte, 15 kills and 14 digs; Averie Engebretson three aces and 17 assists; Claire Snaza, nine kills; Casside Seesz eight kills; Rylie Overby eight kills and Hallie Schulte 14 digs.

Shay Michalski made seven kills, Sara Thonvold five kills and six digs and Avery Lee 10 digs for Clark-Willow Lake. Sami Brenden went 6-9 serving with 58 sets and Summer Seefeldt 12-12 serving.

Estelline-Hendricks 3, Wilmot 0: The Redhawks (4-1) took the match 25-14, 25-12 and 25-5 over the Wolves (1-5).

Colman-Egan 3, De Smet 0: The Hawks improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Dakota Valley Conference with the 25-13, 25-17 and 25-13 win. Lanie Mousel recorded 20 assists, Brynlee Landis 10 kills, Berkley Groos 12 digs and Daniela Lee 10 digs for Colman-Egan.

Jada Burke and Hazel Luethmers each smacked six kills for De Smet (2-2, 1-1). Burke also had seven digs, Megan Dylla eight assists, Emma Albrecht five assists and Jacie McCune six digs.

Ipswich 3, Waubay-Summit 0: Ipswich posted 25-11, 25-8 and 25-15 set victories to improve to 3-1 on the season. Jorga Whempner made four kills, Ava Breske three and Kylee Marx two for Waubay-Summit (1-3).

Redfield 3, Deuel 0: The Pheasants (3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Northeast Conference) won 25-7, 25-18 and 25-17, getting 19 assists and two aces from Camryn Rohlfs, six kills from Mallory Smith, 10 digs from Chloe Zens and 10 kills, six aces and two solo blocks from Gracie Fast.

Josie Andersen produced five kills, three aces and seven digs for Deuel (0-4, 0-3). Gracie Fieber added four assists, Emma Hamann two kills and seven digs and Annika Kraiz eight digs.

Northwestern 3, Langford Area 0: The second-rated Class B Wildcats (5-2) won 25-11, 25-8 and 25-9 over Langford Area (3-3).

Northwestern leaders were Ella Boekleheide with six digs, Brooklinn Halverson 25 assists and three aces, Ella Haven 13 kills, Ashley Haven five aces and eight kills, Adriana Ratigan 10 kills and two solo blocks and one block assist and Payton Grandpre six digs.

Aberdeen Roncalli 3, Tiospa Zina 0: Roncalli (1-3, 1-1) broke into the win column with a 25-11, 25-10 and 25-19 Northeast Conference win over the Wambdi (0-3, 0-2).

Groton Area 3, Sisseton 1: The Tigers (3-1, 1-1) won the Northeast Conference match 25-19, 24-16, 25-8 and 25-3 over Sisseton (1-3, 0-2).

Warner 3, Leola-Frederick Area 0: The top-rated Class B Monarchs improved to 8-0 by winning 25-16, 25-6 and 25-9.

Natalie Burns produced 12 kills, 11 digs and two aces; Morgan Larsen nine kills; Addie Steffensen five kills; Tanaya Weiss 24 assists and 11 digs; Harley Johnson 14 digs and Madi Bacon two aces.

Kenzy Beare tallied 10 kills and three aces, Heidi Nicola four kills, Julie Williams three kills, Sadie Johnson 14 assists, Brooke Johnson six assists and 29 digs, Maddy Ebbers 24 digs and Claire Dagel three blocks for the Redhawks.

Tuesday Matches

Marshall (Minn.) 3, Watertown 0: Marshall recorded 25-12, 25-17 and 25-14 set wins over the Arrows, who slipped to 3-3 on the season.

Kendall Paulson went 10-10 serving with an ace, three kills and 10 digs for the Arrows. Grace Corey also was 10-10 serving and contributed six assists.

Other Watertown leaders included Carter Jurrens with four kills, Emery Thury with three kills and two block assists, Miranda Falconer four assists, Emily Tisher two block assists, Maddy Rohde nine digs and Eve Hauger one solo and one block assists.

The Arrows host Brookings at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Waubay-Summit 3, Wilmot 2: The Mustangs (1-2 overall and 1-1 in the ECC) won the Eastern Coteau Conference match 28-26, 23-25, 22-25, 25-20 and 16-14.

Ava Breske led the way with seven kills and four assists, Kylee Marx five aces and five kills, Katie Karst five aces and five kills and Katie Minder and Liza Purdy each four digs.

Hamlin 3, Great Plains Lutheran 0: The Chargers improved to 2-0 with the 25-15, 25-12 and 25-9 win over the Panthers (1-5).

Ally Abraham tallied 13 kills and Gracelyn Leiseth and Addie Neuendorf eight apiece for Hamlin. Neuendorf also made eight digs. Kami Wadsworth contributed 30 assists and two blocks and Ava Prouty three kills and 17 digs.

GPL received five assists from Kaitlyn Rawerts, four assists from Kyrie Roberts, seven digs and two kills from Olivia Holmen and four digs and two kills from Lanaya Hayes. Kim Goens and Esta Cameron each also had two kills.

Florence-Henry 3, Flandreau 0: The Falcons improved to 3-0 with a 25-23, 25-22 and 25-17 win that featured 13 kills and seven blocks from Caylin Kelly and 11 kills and 18 digs from Macey Lane. Taylor Watson added three aces and 18 digs, Reese Schmidt 31 assists and Aysia Pahl two blocks.

Flandreau (2-4) got six assists and 19 assists from Abby Schoeberl, nine kills and three blocks from Claire Shappard, sevn kills from Lily Klein, 23 digs from Sadie Iott and 21 digs from Addy Hammer.

Milbank 3, Deuel 0: Milbank won the Northeast Conference match 25-16, 25-16 and 25-22 by getting five aces, nine assists and seven digs from Addisyn Krause; two aces and six kills from Rachel Schulte; seven kills from Claire Snaza; five kills and eight assists from Averie Engebretson; and 14 digs from Hallie Schulte. The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 overall and in the league.

Leaders for Deuel (0-3, 0-2) were Josie Andersen, three aces, three assists and five digs; three kills from Emma Hamann; three assists from Gracie Fieber; 13 digs from Annika Kriz; four digs from Isabel Schake; two aces and three blocks from Emma Sattler and two blocks from Kaitlyn Gubrud.

Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Castlewood 1: The Elks won the Dakota Valley Conference match 25-19, 11-25, 25-20 and 25-14 to improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the DVC.

Rachael Krog garnered 18 kills and 25 digs; Kailyn Drietz six kills and five digs; Kylie Ramlo seven kills, three block assists and 18 digs; Tevan Erickson, 41 assists, four kills, five block assists and 16 digs; Andrea Renkly, eight kills and seven digs; Kayla Goertz, seven digs; and Kinsley Krog six digs for ELB.

Maddie Horn's 12 kills and nine digs paced the Warriors (3-1 and 0-1). Mackenzie Everson added nine kills, four solo blocks and 21 digs; Kelly Goens, five kills; Lyndsey Archer, 12 digs; Emerson Carter, five kills, two solo blocks and six digs; Kailyn Larson, 17 digs; and Gracie Haug, 25 assists and 13 digs.

Sioux Valley 3, Parker 0: The Cossacks (3-1) prevailed 25-11, 25-11 and 25-16 with eight kills from Ashley Bjerke, six kills and 10 digs from Kaedyn Sapp, 11 assists and three aces from Sunny Hesby, 10 digs from Talya Vincent and four kills, two blocks and 12 digs from Adison Renkly.

Parker received six kills and 34 digs from Halle Berens, nine assists and 10 digs from Terryn Fuller, 17 digs from Aspen Rand and 16 digs from Hailey Phillips.

Wolsey-Wessington 3, De Smet 0: Fourth-rated Class B Wolsey-Wessington evened its record at 2-2 by winning 25-18, 25-6 and 25-15. Mallory Miller produced nine kills and five blocks; Mya Boomsma five aces, eight kills and 10 digs; Emree White, five kills; Taylor Horn, 19 assists; Payton Kemnitz, nine assists; and Lainey Uttecht, 10 digs.

De Smet (2-1) was led by Jada Burke's six kills, Cori Birkel's three kills and six blocks and Emma Albrecht's five assists. Olivia Johnson and Mirra Beck each added three blocks.

Colman-Egan 3, Arlington 1: The Hawks (2-1, 1-0) won the Dakota Valley Conference match 25-20, 25-20, 18-25 and 25-23 over the Cardinals (2-2, 1-1).

Daniella Lee had 13 kills, 17 digs, six solo blocks and one block assist for Colman-Egan. Ava Mousel added 10 assists and 11 digs, Lanie Mousel 19 digs, Kandace Landis 12 digs, Abby Rohde nine kills, Berkley Groos 26 digs and Brynlee Landis eight kills and 17 digs.

Natalie Burns (11 kills and 21 digs), Tanaya Weiss (26 assists and two solo blocks), Addie Steffensen (10 kills and three solo blocks) and Harley Johnson (17 digs) paced Arlington.

Warner 3, Webster Area 0: The top-rated Class B Monarchs upped their record to 7-0 with 25-10, 25-8 and 25-6 set victories.

Webster Area (2-1) leaders included Baylie Somsen, 6-7 serving; Elliott Steiner, two assists; Katie Braun, three assists; Mikala Wagner, two block assists; Gracie Cadwell, four kills; and Bayleann Moen, two kills.

Wheaton-Herman Norcross (Minn.) 3, Sisseton 2: Host Wheaton-Herman-Norcross outlasted Sisseton 26-24, 16-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-8. The Redmen slipped to 1-2.

Hankinson (N.D.) 3, Tiospa Zina 1: Hankinson won 25-11, 23-25, 25-18 and 25-18 over the Wambdi (0-2).
