What’s ahead this week in the Augusta-area? The world famous musical acts of Blue Man Group and Kenny G are hosting concerts in Augusta. Those wanting a different kind of staged show can visit the Bell Auditorium to check out Peppa Pig’s family fun “adventure” or renowned stand-up comedian Tom Segura. Augusta’s favorite baseball team are also playing at home this week. The 16th annual Boss Hog Cook-Off and the Augusta Mall Festival take place this week, too. Attend a Augusta GreenJackets game

The Augusta GreenJackets are back at home this week with games Tuesday-Sunday, May 10-15, at SRP Park in North Augusta. The local Single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves will play the Columbia Fireflies with first pitch at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 6:05 p.m. Saturday and 1:35 p.m. Sunday. The traveling Blue Man Group stops at Augusta's Bell Auditorium for a 7:30 p.m. show on Wednesday, May 11. Festivals

The Augusta Mall Festival is running from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the mall on Wrightsboro Road. There will be plenty of food from a tent, carts and trucks run by area vendors, in addition to games, train rides, live music and a kids-area featuring bouncing houses, face painting and other fun. The Boss Hog Cook-Off is back for its 16th year 5-11 p.m. Friday, May 13, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 14, in Waynesboro on Schwank Way.
