Wekiva 4-star defensive lineman Sincere Edwards becomes UCF's earliest commitment ever
UCF landed an unprecedented early commitment Wednesday from Wekiva junior defensive lineman Sincere Edwards.
The 6-foot-2, 240-pounder becomes the latest Orlando-area consensus four-star recruit to choose the Big 12-bound Knights. Edwards claims Power Five offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Michigan State, Ole Miss and Utah, among others per 247Sports.

According to Rivals, Edwards is the earliest commit in UCF program history. He's not able to sign his national letter of intent for another 16 months.
Edwards played eight games for Wekiva during his sophomore season, collecting 62 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. He blocked a punt, recovered three fumbles and scored four touchdowns, including a three-score game on the ground against Evans.
A longstanding primary target of head coach Gus Malzahn and defensive tackles coach Kenny Martin, Edwards was one of 17 confirmed visitors for the Knight Splash pool party event during the final week of July.
Edwards is the No. 278 overall recruit for the 2024 class, according to 247Sports' composite rankings — 26th among defensive lineman and 45th among athletes in the state of Florida.

UCF continues its recent hot streak of attracting the top defenders from its backyard. The Knights have four, four-star commits in the 2023 class from within an hour's drive of the Bounce House — defensive tackle John Walker (Osceola), cornerback Braeden Marshall (Lake Mary) and twin linebackers Andrew and Michael Harris (Lake Brantley).
All four of those athletes announced their commitments during the month of July.
