The trailer for Hulu’s new crime drama Welcome to Chippendales is here and shaking what its mama gave it.

The series which focuses on the rise and fall of the iconic all-male revue is being described as a “sprawling true-crime saga,” which tells the story of Somen “Steve” Banerjee, an Indian immigrant whose life took an unexpected turn when he became “the unlikely founder of the world’s greatest male-stripping empire—and let nothing stand in his way in the process,” reads the synopsis.

Along with more hot guys than you can shake a one at, the series stars Kumail Nanjiani, Murray Bartlett, Juliette Lewis, and Annaleigh Ashford, with recurring guest stars Quentin Plair, Robin de Jesús, and Andrew Rannells and guest stars Nicola Peltz Beckham, and Dan Stevens.

The trailer teases plenty of sexy razzle dazzle — but also that tragedy and violence lurk around the corner. In an interview with Vanity Fair Bartlett teased his character Nick’s rivalry with Nanjiani's Somen. Nick is described as a gay man past his prime but activated by what would become a deadly standoff with Somen. “There is this trope of the tragic gay character who never finds happiness and dies in the end; I was very aware of not playing into that,” Bartlett told the publication. “We had a chance to explore Nick’s sexuality in a way that was interesting and three-dimensional and doesn’t make him a tragic figure in that way.”

It's a story that is a reminder that not all that glitters is not gold — but man is it easy to forget when the rippling torsos are that shiny.

Welcome to Chippendales is set to premiere on Hulu on Tuesday, November 22, with two episodes. New episodes will be released every Tuesday. Watch the trailer below.
