A mockumentary series set in a fictional Ohio town has been renewed for a second season at FOX.

"Welcome to Flatch," which has been met with mixed reviews ever since its March premiere, will air its season finale, "Merry Flatchmas," on Thursday.

The show is a remake of the British mockumentary sitcom "This Country," which premiered on BBC in 2017 and ran for three seasons.

Is Flatch, Ohio a real place?

There is no such town in Ohio named Flatch; the show was filmed in North Carolina.

But its characters can be seen in episodes wearing vintage Columbus Crew jerseys and apparel, a nod to the Swindon Town Football Club jerseys worn by Daisy Mae Cooper, who created and starred in "This Country" with her brother, Charlie Cooper.

Chelsea Holmes, left, and Sam Straley star in the half-hour comedy series. Holmes wears vintage Columbus Crew jerseys and apparel throughout the show.

What's 'Welcome to Flatch' about?

In both "This Country" and "Welcome to Flatch," a documentary crew travels to a rural town and chronicles the day-to-day lives of two cousins, who are best friends.

Chelsea Holmes and Sam Straley star as the cousins in the American version.

Other Flatch residents include Seann William Scott — known for his roles in "American Pie" and "Dude, Where's My Car?" — and Aya Cash, who's best known for starring as Gretchen Cutler in the FX/FXX dark comedy series "You're the Worst."

The show comes from Jenny Bicks, who worked as a writer and producer on "Sex in the City," and Paul Feig, who created "Freaks and Geeks" and directed "Bridesmaids."
