Welcome home: South Carolina lands wide receiver commitment from Florida

Three-star Class of 2024 wide receiver Zy’Marion Lang has committed to South Carolina, he announced at a Sunday ceremony in his hometown.

Lang — from Palmetto, Florida — is the No. 549 overall recruit and No. 78 wide receiver in the class of 2024, according to the 247Sports Composite that factors in multiple services’ rankings. He is the Gamecocks’ second pass-catcher commitment of this cycle, joining four-star Mazeo Bennett of Greenville.

Lang stands at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds. His Twitter bio says he runs a 4.31 40-yard dash.

Lang visited four schools — Texas A&M unofficially, West Virginia officially, Pittsburgh officially and South Carolina officially — before making his decision, according to his 247Sports profile. He previously announced that his top four schools were South Carolina, Pitt, Kansas State and USF. South Carolina had been forecast as his most likely destination.

The Gamecocks now have 14 total commitments and six three-stars in the Class of 2024. USC’s 2023 class had 13 three-stars, according to 247Sports.
