All are welcome to receive free OTC medicine giveaway in Stanly County

Until 2 p.m. or supplies last, NC MedAssist is giving away over-the-counter medicine for free on Friday.

Anyone is welcome to stop by the EE Waddell Community Center in Albemarle to pick up medicine like Advil, Tylenol, and Tums.

There is no appointment or pre-registration required. Any North Carolina resident is welcome, but there is no ID requirement either.

The only restriction is you must be 18 years or older.

Pre-packaged bags of medications will be available for pickup until supplies last.

NC MedAssist is a non-profit mobile pharmacy that provides adults and children in need with free over-the-counter medicine, such as aspirin, children’s cough syrup, allergy medicine, and vitamins.

They will be traveling around the area offering the same services throughout the month:

  • July 21: Lincoln County, Lincoln County Board-Education, 201 Jeb Seagle Dr.

  • July 22: Mecklenburg County, Hidden Valley Elementary, 5100 Snow White Ln.

  • July 28: Cabarrus County, Forest Hill United Methodist Church, 265 Union St North

  • July 28: Union County, Atrium Health Union, 600 Hospital Dr.
