We're changing the comics lineup for Courier-Post

As a trusted source of local news and content in communities across South Jersey, we continuously evaluate our content and how to best serve our audiences. Comics have historically evolved to reflect the culture and tastes of the times. After surveying and listening to our loyal readers, we have decided to refresh our comics offering with an updated package that incorporates beloved favorites.

So, what does it mean for your daily comics?

We’ve put together a daily catalog of fan favorites, ever-popular strips, and regular reads that we're confident will bring a smile to your face and add a few extra chuckles to your morning routine. Here's the full lineup you'll see in the Courier-Post every day, including Sundays: Blondie; Zits; Beetle Bailey; Family Circus; Hagar the Horrible; Dennis the Menace; Garfield; Peanuts; For Better or Worse; Baby Blues; Pickles; Pearls Before Swine; Jump Start; Ziggy; Non Sequitur; Crabgrass; Marmaduke; Crankshaft; Luann; Baldo; Frank and Ernest; The Born Loser.

You’re already reading some of these every day as they’re already part of our collection. And some may be new to you. Of course, it does mean we’ll be retiring some of the strips you’ve been enjoying.

On Mondays through Saturday's the titles we're removing are: Heathcliff; Carpe Diem; Close to Home; Curtis; Monty; Rose is Rose; Shoe; Safe Haven; The Buckets; Betty; and Red and Rover.

Your daily additions are: Zits; Family Circus; Dennis the Menace; Garfield; Peanuts; For Better of Worse; Baby Blues; Pearls Before Swine; Jump Start; Ziggy; Non-Sequitur; Marmaduke; Baldo; Frank and Ernest; and The Born Loser.

On Sundays, the additions are the same, except you'll also get to read Fox Trot.

On Sundays, we're removing the following strips: Deflocked; Mutts; B.C.; Rose is Rose; Monty; Shoe; The Buckets; Betty; Slylock Fox; Curtis; and Crock.

The new comics lineup will launch Monday, October 2, in the newspaper and in the eNewspaper. Readers can also check out www.courierpostonline.com/comics to view additional comics.

We hope you continue to enjoy your old favorites and the new additions make you smile and become favorites. That's what comics are all about, after all.
