CANTON – Authorities have released the names of two Canton boys who were killed in a one-vehicle crash Saturday night that also left their father seriously injured.

Police said Kayden Compton, 13, and his brother Braydon Kauffman, 10, died at the scene.

According to Canton police, officers responded to a report of an accident at 9:22 p.m. in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue NW and found a Ford F550 had lost control, went off the road and rolled one time before striking a tree.

The driver, Javon Moore, 31, of Canton, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.

The Canton Metro Crash Team responded to the scene and continues to investigate.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the boys' mother with funeral expenses. More than $800 had been raised as of early Monday morning toward the $17,000 goal.

"These two boys loved life to the fullest and they were the happiest, kindest, most caring and loving kids you could ever meet," the GoFundMe account says. "The family is truly distraught and overwhelmed by the sudden unexpected loss of Braydon and Kayden."

The boys were students in Canton City Schools.

District officials released a statement Monday, adding that counselors and crisis team members were available to students and staff.

"The Canton City School District is heartbroken over the loss of our young students, Kayden Compton and Braydon Kauffman," Superintendent Jeffery Talbert said in the statement. "We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of these students, and especially to our McGregor and STEAMM Academy communities. ... We ask the community to please keep the family of the boys in their prayers."

Braydon was a fifth grader at McGregor Elementary School and his older brother was an eighth grader at the STEAMM Academy.
