Aaron Rodgers going to the Las Vegas Raiders is never happening this season. And probably never.

But Rodgers indicated that there was one player he would like to have reunited when he was a guest on the Pat McAfee show on Wednesday.

The four-time NFL MVP was asked if there were other teams that were talking to the Green Bay Packers and he responded with a lengthy answer.

“There were other teams that were interested, and obviously there were certain players that I have a lot of love and infinity for, and reuniting with especially one specific person would’ve been appreciated.”

McAfee indicated it’s Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams who he is referring to.

“I’m not mentioning any names,” Rodgers continued. “There’s definitely one particular guy who, him and I, have this special kind of unspoken rapport. If there’s anybody that I would’ve want to put on a demand list, if you can incorporate any player across the league, it would’ve been one specific person.”

Raiders fans hoped Rodgers would suit up in the Silver and Black while in Pebble Beach for the Pro-Am.

It was reported by the Athletic on Wednesday that the Raiders did check on the Packers about Rodgers’ availability, but a trade never came about.

The Raiders went with Jimmy Garoppolo this week, and it appears Rodgers is headed to the New York Jets.
