Moore wins gubernatorial straw poll

Out of 337 votes casted in the annual Western Maryland Democratic Summit straw poll, 46% have chosen Democratic governor candidate Wes Moore to be the next governor of Maryland.

In addition to the governor's race, the attorney general and comptroller races were also polled.

For attorney general, Katie O'Malley, former Baltimore City District Judge and Baltimore County Assistant State's Attorney, was favored in the straw poll, with 77% of the vote.

For Maryland comptroller, Del. Brooke Lierman, D-Baltimore City, took 69% of the vote.

The 18th annual Western Maryland Democratic Summit was held on May 14 at the Rocky Gap Resort, near Cumberland, Md.
