West Branch to celebrate homecoming Sept. 30

West Branch High School will celebrate homecoming this weekend, with a dance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the school gym.

On Friday night, the Warriors will play host to the Marlington Dukes for a football game at 7 p.m. West Branch is coming off a big victory on Sept. 22, when they defeated Minerva, 70-0.

In preparation for homecoming, students and staff will be enjoying Spirit Week. Each day this week, a special activity will allow students to celebrate with a different theme:

Monday – Jersey Day

Tuesday – Hawaiian Day

Wednesday – USA Day

Thursday – PJ Day

Friday – Color War Day

Homecoming activities also will include the crowning of the 2023 fall homecoming queen, on Friday night before the football game. Candidates for queen this year include Sophia Ayers, Haley Close, Mirabella Beckett, Oneal Everett, Sophia Gregory, Autumn Johnston, Samantha Koneval and Macy Wilson.
