West Branch students part of Buckeye State program

BELOIT – Five West Branch High School students spent last week learning about many facets of government through the Buckeye State program.

Buckeye Boys State and Buckeye Girls State are sponsored by the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary. Programs allow students to learn about city, county and state government, while also helping to shape them into informed and responsible citizens.

Participants are rising seniors at high schools around the state.

In Buckeye Boys State at Miami University were West Branch students Aaron Brown, Zachary Fediaczko and Michael Kanagy. In Buckeye Girls State at University of Mount Union were West Branch students Morgan Brown and Chelsea Tharp.
