WEST CHESTER TWP. – This year’s 10 honorees in the Women of Excellence program all have a single goal – make southwest Ohio a better place to live, work, and play.

They will be honored by the West Chester/Liberty Chamber Alliance Friday during a banquet at the Cincinnati Marriott North in West Chester Township.

They join more than 160 other women who have been recognized by the chamber alliance for making a positive difference in the communities along Interstate 75 while inspiring others.

The women were selected based on their contributions to business, education, culture, philanthropy or service.

“We are thrilled to honor these 10 amazing women from our community who continue to make a positive impact through outstanding service in their careers or volunteer work,” said Jen Berti, the chamber alliance’s director of special events.

“They deserve to be recognized for all they do to make our entire region a better place to work, live and enjoy life.”

The honorees:

Ann Brock

A nurse and trauma outreach coordinator at Atrium Medical Center, Brock is also a firefighter/paramedic for Monroe. She has worked on the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns and serves as a liaison between emergency medical agencies and Atrium’s trauma program. She serves on the board of the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Warren County and the Child Injury Prevention Group.

Barbara Wilson

A West Chester Township resident, Wilson is also the township’s director of public information and engagement. As such, she speaks on behalf of the township and spearheaded the rebranding of the township. Other projects included the creation and preservation of local landmarks along with working on the Voice of America and Square at Union Centre.

Camellia Noor

Noor serves as a role model and as a resource to others. She co-founded Embellished Occasions LLC event planning company and is president of the El Sewedy International Academy of Cincinnati’s parent-teacher organization. She is also involved with the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, planning fundraisers, religious celebrations and social events. She has prepared meals for homeless shelters, ran interfaith food drives and mentors teen girls at the ICGC Muslim Girl Teen Club

Bennyce Hamilton

A former firefighter, Hamilton, who has a doctorate in education, created the Peer Meditation Program at the Princeton schools and is the director of multicultural affairs at Wilmington College. She is recipient of the Ray of Light Diversity Award.

She is involved with teens allowing them to spend up to 40 hours shadowing her, earning credits toward graduation and has donated to theEDGE Teen Center. She sits on the board for the Northern Cincinnati Foundation and Power of the Purse programs, is involved with Reach Out Lakota’s Corporate Food Fight and Dress for Success.

Jeanne Brauns

Brauns has served as diversity chairperson and professional development chairperson for the Greater Cincinnati Human Resources board.  She was a board of directors member and a chairperson of the Members Trust Federated Credit Union, managed all aspects of human resources for Pizza Hut, and Commonwealth Orthopedics. She also serves as the director of diversity and inclusion at Darling Ingredients. Bruns has been on the board of directors of the Northern Cincinnati Foundation since 2017, led the Power of Purse, and chaired Key Event fundraisers. She volunteers at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church as well as at Moeller High School and the Lakota schools.

Kathleen Peterson

An active volunteer in the Lakota Schools, Peterson has led parent-teacher groups and organizes the Lakota West PTSO senior scholarship program and senior picnic among other projects. She serves on the District Parent Council. She founded Scientific Mayhem, which offers after-school classes.

Lisa Crachiolo

Crachiolo is director of hospital operations for the UC Health West Chester Hospital, where she is known for mentoring others. She has worked to develop youth bike rallies and the Coffee with a Cop initiative. A past president of the West Chester/Liberty Rotary Club, she worked as assistant governor for Rotary International’s Southwest Ohio District.

Tanya Wescott

A speech-language pathologist, Wescott owns Elite Kids, providing not only therapy but serving as a resource for children and their families. She has volunteered for Mom on a Mission, the Regional Autism Advocacy Council of Butler County, and Bubble Blast for Kids.

Tina Yelton

An owner of Yelton Fine Jewelers, Yelton is involved with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Dress for Success, the American Heart Association, and is a previous member of the American Heart Association’s Circle of Red and Cor Vitae societies. She helped create the Roy H. Yelton Memorial Scholarship and is on the St. Xavier Advisory Board. She created the 750 Room at Yelton’s. A portion of sales made in the room is donated to a different charity each month.
