West Geauga High School Marching Band returns from London

Jan. 12—The West Geauga High School Marching Band has returned from its overseas trip to London.

Highlights of the trip included visiting Parliament Square, Covent Garden, Oxford, Windsor, the Tower of London, the Thames River, a rocking NYE party, a concert performance in Cadogan Hall, and culminated with the London New Year's Day Parade (LNYDP) performance, according to a release from the Chester Township school.

The parade was broadcast worldwide for viewers to see the WGMB perform the "WG Fight Song", "I Love Rock N Roll", "The Avengers", and "Uprising by Muse."

WGMB was proud to be selected as the parade finale playing the London national anthem. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity that students will never forget. We are so proud of the West Geauga High School Marching Band, the release stated.
