West Memphis shooting leads to chase, crash in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A chase that reportedly began in West Memphis, Arkansas, ended in a crash on I-240 in Memphis the next day.

In the process, bullets flew through a house in West Memphis — the resident thinks it was 50 to 60 shots.

According to West Memphis Police, on Thursday evening, officers began pursuing two suspects who were involved in a shooting in West Memphis. The shooting reportedly happened at a home on South 14th Street on Wednesday.

“Will it ever stop?” the woman who lived in the home said. A bullet just missed her son.

West Memphis Police say the suspects drove into Tennessee. Memphis Police caught up with them Thursday when they noticed an Infiniti that has been involved in a shooting.

They tried to stop the car, but the driver took off, crashing on I-240 in the median near Millbranch Road. Two people were taken into custody.

No one was injured in the crash.
