West Michigan 12U Shamrocks wins Cinco de Mayo Slugfest, Great Lakes NIT tournament

POTTERVILLE, MI. — The West Michigan 12U Shamrock softball team continued their torrid start to the summer, taking home the title of the Cinco de Mayo Slugfest held in Potterville the weekend of May 7.

The Shamrocks also brought home the championship of the Great Lakes NIT (NSA) Tournament held at Bailey Park in Battle Creek the weekend of May 14 and 15, making this their third championship win of the season.

The West Michigan 12U Shamrocks are comprised of athletes from around the area, with a roster consisting of Lauren Lewis, Julia Travelbee, Courtney Weaver, Claire Kelly, Jillian Wallace, Mallorie Miller, Avery Clark, Delaney McCullough, Anna Berger, Lezlee Smith and Lani Miller.

The West Michigan 12U Shamrocks are gearing up for a trip Kentucky this July where they will compete in the 12U Softball World Series.
