Local teens, driver injured in multi-vehicle crash on M-6

JAMESTOWN TWP. — Two local teens were injured in a crash Saturday, Sept. 24, on M-6 in Jamestown Township.

Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office responded to a car-versus-SUV personal injury crash in the area of M-6 west of Kenowa.

Upon arrival, deputies learned a Hyundai, driven by a 56-year-old Cedar Springs man, stopped on westbound M-6 in the travel portion of the roadway, before a westbound Ford SUV — driven by a 17-year-old West Olive teen — collided with it.

The driver of the Hyundai was treated on-scene with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV — along with her 16-year-old Zeeland passenger — were also treated on-scene with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
