Western Wisconsin Dairy Manufacturers to Compete in 2024 World Championship Cheese Contest

MADISON, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Western Wisconsin cheese and dairy manufacturers are set to compete for the coveted title of World Champion at the 2024 World Championship Cheese Contest®, set for March 5-7 at the Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Their products are among 3,302 entries across 142 classes of dairy products.

“Competing in the World Championship Cheese Contest offers dairy processors a unique opportunity to earn a prestigious title, get product feedback from internationally renowned experts, and show potential customers just how outstanding their products really are,” said Kirsten Strohmenger, Contest Director for Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), proud host of the event.

  • Hidden Springs Creamery of Westby, Wisconsin

  • LaGrander’s Hillside Dairy of Stanley, Wisconsin

  • Lynn Dairy Inc. of Granton, Wisconsin

  • Marieke Gouda of Thorp, Wisconsin

  • Nordic Creamery of Westby, Wisconsin

  • Pasture Pride Cheese of Cashton, Wisconsin

  • Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc. of Mindoro, Wisconsin

Preliminary rounds of judging are open for public observation on Tuesday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 6 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Attendance is free, and samples will be available. The exciting announcement of the 2024 World Champion will be live-streamed on Thursday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. (CT) at WorldChampionCheese.org.
