Westerville police searching for teen missing since July 5 who may be in Groveport area

Westerville police reported Wednesday that they are searching for a missing teenage girl who was last seen over a week ago.

Sariyah Nicole Gibson, 14, is believed to have her left Westerville home during the early morning hours of July 5 and may be staying with friends in the Groveport area, Westerville Police Lt. Justin Alloway said.

Gibson has run away in the past and has been previously found in the Groveport area, Alloway said.  As of 10 p.m. Wednesday, she was still missing.

Gibson is described as five-foot-four, weighing 120 pounds.
