Westfield Annapolis Sets Reopening Date, New Hours

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Annapolis mall will reopen this Saturday, Westfield announced in a press release. The move comes shortly after Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced the state would move into Phase 2 of its coronavirus recovery plan.

The mall will have modified hours for the time being. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday hours will be from noon to 6 p.m.

Westfield said that it will clean high-touch areas like restrooms, play pens, food courts and water fountains more frequently. The company also said it would work to control the number of people in waiting in crowded common areas and lines. The mall said it will enforce face mask regulations and have an increased supply of hand sanitizer available for shoppers.

To minimize contact, the mall is also working to improve curbside pickup options. Westfield said that it will offer a service called "LINE PASS" on its app. LINE PASS allows customers to join a business' wait list or book an appointment before entering the store.

Westfield will also ramp up its customer service staffing to answer questions. Shoppers can text (410) 220-6868 to ask questions about hours and promotions. Webchat is also available during operation hours.

Face masks will also be available for purchase. For every purchase made between now and Aug. 31, Westfield will donate $1 to No Kid Hungry. The company will donate up to $100,000 to the cause, which turns every dollar into 10 meals for children in need.

“Westfield is excited to open our doors again to the Annapolis community as we begin our initial recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic,” Steve Stavropoulos, Shopping Center Manager, stated in a press release. “We are working closely with local officials and other relevant community groups to ensure a healthy, clean and safe environment for our customers, tenants and employees; and are committed to providing the best experience possible as business begins to operate at the center.”
