Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show begins with agility; multi-day show runs through June 22

Beginning Saturday, 3,000 dogs and their handlers were in Tarrytown for the start of the multi-day Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, being held at Lyndhurst, June 18-22. The show was held in 2021 at Lyndhurst, but without spectators.

Saturday's opening event was the Masters Agility Competition; Best in Show will be announced at 7:30 p.m. June 22.

"We love having spectators back. It was tough for everyone last year," said Gail Miller Bisher, director of communications for the Westminster Kennel Club.

In addition to watching the competition, held under tents on the Lyndhurst grounds, spectators were able to take special tours of the Lyndhurst mansion and browse vendor booths.

Live streaming of all events is available via the Westminster Kennel Club website; FOX will air some coverage and other events will be available on cable channels FS1, FS2. Go to westminsterkennelclub.org for more details.
