Weymouth chief of staff, Cohasset town manager finalists for Foxboro job

FOXBORO − Ted Langill, chief of staff for Weymouth Mayor Robert Hedlund, and Cohasset Town Manager Christopher Senior are among the four finalists for the Foxboro town manager job.

The Foxboro Select Board will interview the four finalists this week and pick the new town manager as soon as its Jan. 17 meeting.

The other two finalists are Northboro Town Administrator John Coderre and Nicholas Riccio, former Foxboro building commissioner.

Langill has been Hedlund’s chief of staff in Weymouth since January 2016, and previously at the State House when Hedlund was a state senator. Langill was chairman of the Braintree Finance Committee from 2004 to 2008.

He said he is not actively looking to leave Weymouth, but applying for the Foxboro job “is an opportunity (he) couldn’t pass up."

Senior has been the town manager in Cohasset since 2014. He previously was a deputy town supervisor in North Hempstead, New York, and has been a lawyer in private and public practice.

The new Foxboro town manager will replace William Keegan, who is retiring Jan. 27. He will stay on as acting town manager until the new town manager is able to start, closing out nine years in Foxboro and 40 years in local government.
